Abstract

A dynamic stabilization system for treadmill runners comprises: an adjustable ergonomic harness with a dorsal anchor point; a fixed support structure with a base anchored to the floor and a tubular vertical support; a multidirectional articulated arm connecting the harness to the vertical support with freedom of movement on the vertical, lateral, and longitudinal axes; and an elastic compensation mechanism with progressive nonlinear behavior, configured to generate return forces proportional to the user's displacement from their central reference position on the treadmill. The system allows the user to run safely on a treadmill under visually deprived conditions, dynamically correcting positional deviations without interfering with the natural running motion. The system is passive and has applications in sports training and neurological and sensory rehabilitation.
