Field of the Invention
[0001] This invention relates generally to temporary barrier fencing and, more particularly, to temporary barrier fencing which is intrinsically secure against forced entry.Background of the Invention
[0002] GB 2363402 A (WIGLEY VICTOR JOSEPH) 19 December 2001 [hereinafter referred to as D1] discloses a fence which keys into concrete bases to prevent the fence from being lifted from the bases during forced entry.
[0003] The present invention seeks to provide temporary barrier fencing, which will overcome or substantially ameliorate at least some of the deficiencies of the prior art, or to at least provide an alternative.Summary of the Disclosure
[0004] A problem unrecognised by D1 is that the concrete bases of D1 may be rotated to disconnect the fence thereby necessitating large concrete bases or securement of the concrete bases to the ground.
[0005] The invention relates then to temporary barrier fencing which is intrinsically secure against forced entry, the foot being prevented from being rotated with the posts of the fencing, without having to use larger support feet or secure the support feet in place.

[0039] With reference to Figure 1, temporary barrier fencing 100 comprises support feet 101 which, with reference to Figure 6, support posts 103 of adjacent fence panels 104.
[0040] Each panel 104 may comprise a lower crossbar 105 and each post 103 may extend beyond the crossbar 105 to engage the foot 101.
[0041] The panel 104 comprises a post 103 (referred to herein as a bracing post 103A) at one end which comprises a brace 106 which braces a post 103 of an adjacent panel 104 in use.

Claims
1. Temporary barrier fencing (100) comprising interconnecting fence panels (104) on a support foot, each fence panel comprising a bracing post (103A) and a locking post (103B), wherein the bracing post (103A) is configured for engaging the esupport foot (101) and the locking post (103B) is configured for keying the support foot (101) depending on its rotational orientation so that the locking post (103B) cannot be pulled from the foot (101), characterised in that the bracing post (103A) comprises a brace (106) configured for bracing a locking post (103B) of an adjacent fence panel (104) in use, wherein the brace (106) is fixed in alignment with the corresponding fence panel (104) and comprises an aperture to hold the locking post (103B) of the adjacent fence panel (104) in alignment with the corresponding fence panel (104), wherein the locking post can rotate within the aperture.
2. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fencing (100) comprises a plurality of the fence panels (104) supported by a plurality of support feet (101) therebetween wherein each foot (101) is engaged by bracing and locking posts (103A, 103B) of respective adjacent panels (104).
3. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the brace (106) extends from a horizontal cross bar of the panel (104).
4. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the foot (101) comprises a pair of post apertures (107) within which the posts (103A, 103B) insert respectively.
5. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 4, wherein the bracing post (103A) and the aperture of its respective brace (106) are spaced to collocate with the pair of post apertures (107) respectively.
6. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 4, wherein the locking post (103B) defines a key (108) which slots into a corresponding keyhole (109) within an aperture of the support foot (101) depending on its rotational orientation with respect to the foot (101).

The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 6, wherein the key (108) and the keyhole (109) are aligned at 45° with respect to an orthogonal axis of the foot (101) so that the key (108) inserts into the keyhole (109) when the fence panel (104) is at 45° with respect to the foot (101) and the locking post (103B) locks the foot (101) when the fence panel (104) is orthogonal with respect to the support foot (101).
8. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 6, wherein the key (108) of the locking post (103B) extends further than the bracing post (103A).
9. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the foot (101) comprises a base frame (112) supporting a pair of uprights (113) which insert into open ends of posts (103) of respective adjacent panels (104).
10. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 9, wherein each upright (113) comprises a key (108) either of which may slot into a keyhole (109) of a locking post (103B) depending on the orientation of the fence panel (104) with respect to the foot (101).
11. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the locking post (103B) comprises an upper retainer (127) configured to insert into a bracing post (103A) of the adjacent fence panel (104) to prevent their being prised apart when the locking post (103B) is locked to the foot (101).

The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 11, wherein an upper end of the bracing post (103A) of the adjacent fence panel (104) hits a cross piece of the upper retainer (127) if the bracing post (103A) of the adjacent fence panel (104) is lifted whilst the locking post (103B) locks the foot (101) and wherein the upper retainer (127) has sufficient length so that a distal end thereof remains within the bracing post (103A) of the adjacent fence panel (104) as the locking post (103B) disengages from the foot (101).
13. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the support foot (101) comprises a plurality of pairs (117) of post apertures (107) therein for engaging the posts (103) adjacently therein at differing positions.
14. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 13, wherein the plurality of the pairs (117) of post apertures (107) are arranged along a length of the foot (101) so that the foot (101) can engage the posts (103) centrally or at one end thereof.
15. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 13, wherein the pairs (117) of post apertures (107) comprise pairs of apertures comprising keyholes and pairs of apertures devoid of keyholes.
16. The fencing (100) as claimed in claim 13, further comprising an arrangement of studs (119) extending from a surface of the support foot (101) and a corresponding arrangement of conforming recesses (121) on an opposite surface thereof, wherein the studs (119) and recesses (121) are arranged so that support feet (101) can be stacked orthogonally and wherein the studs (119) and recesses (121) are noncircular and comprise orthogonal symmetry.
17. A method of erecting temporary barrier fencing (100) as claimed in claim 1, the method comprising engaging a bracing post (103A) to the support foot (101) and then inserting the locking post (103B) of the adjacent panel (104) through the brace (106) of the bracing post (103A) in a first orientation and then rotating the locking post (103B) of the adjacent panel (104) to a second orientation so that the locking post (103B) keys the foot (101) so that the locking post (103B) cannot be pulled from the foot (101) and wherein the brace braces (106) the locking post (103B) in alignment with the fence panel (104) corresponding with the brace (106).
