Abstract

A smart label device (1) applicable to a package for providing representative information about the remaining shelf life of a perishable product within the package, comprising: a flexible support substrate (2) composed of polymers and / or plastics and / or organic materials and / or flexible materials; an electronic control unit (3) associated with the flexible support substrate (2); a sensor unit (4) associated with the flexible support substrate (2), the sensor unit (4) being operatively connected to the electronic control unit (3), the sensor unit (4) configured to detect data related to the perishability of the perishable product within the package with which the device (1) is associated;an information signaling unit (5) associated with the flexible support substrate (2), the information signaling unit (5) operatively connected to the electronic control unit (3), a power supply unit (6) associated with the flexible support substrate (2), the power supply unit (6) operatively connected to the electronic control unit (3). The electronic control unit (3) is configured to: determine representative information about the remaining shelf life of a perishable product within a package with which the device (1) is associated, based on data relating to the perishability of the perishable product provided by the sensor unit (4); provide the information signaling unit (5) with the determined information representative of the remaining shelf life of a perishable product within a package.
