Abstract
This disclosure relates to a process for producing a monoalkylated aromatic compound using a catalyst treated by a method of the present invention. The method comprises the steps of heating an untreated catalyst in the presence of a gas stream with a dew point below approximately 5 °C to form a treated catalyst. The treatment is effective in improving the activity and selectivity of the catalyst.
