Method of manufacturing a load introduction element for a laminated part made of fiber-reinforced composite material

Abstract

To improve load transfer to a laminated composite fiber part (52), the invention proposes integrating a mounting tab (54) by passing a cord (18) through an initial laminated structure (10), thus forming an opening (30). The ends (20, 22) of the cord (18) are split and pressed onto the laminated structure (10), forming fastening elements (36) that are subsequently covered with another laminated structure (38). Laminate patches (42) can be placed next to the fastening elements (36) to improve surface smoothness. The mounting tab (54) can be held between two plates (58) for attachment to another structure.
