HYPERCOMPRESSED STABILIZED LOAM BLOCK

Abstract

Procedure for obtaining blocks of stabilized earth with beige Eocene marl, with a granulometry of less than 10 mm. The clay stabilization system used consists of an alkaline treatment with 0.5% (by weight of clay and cement) of caustic soda (NaOH) and a small percentage (6%) of CEM IIb or BL II / 42.5 type cement. The mixing water is active. Manufacturing is carried out using a specific three-position press with double compaction, one position with a hypercompression of 166 kg / cm². The block is rectified and cured in packaging for 28 days. The dimensions of this solid block are 29 x 14.5 x 9.5 cm. The resulting BTC has an average characteristic strength of 8-10 N / mm², classified as BTC-5 according to UNE 41410.
