Description

[0001] The invention relates to a transport securing device for securing goods on a roll container according to the preamble of claim 1 and a roll container with such a transport securing device.

[0002] Roll containers, especially roll pallets, are widely used in logistics. Various designs exist, but in the retail sector, roll pallets are frequently used. These have a rectangular, usually square, base with wheels, and a first side wall is attached to two opposite edges of the base, with a second side wall running parallel to it. The side walls prevent goods from falling or sliding off the sides of the roll pallet. The front and back are usually open, allowing loading and unloading from both sides.

[0003] These types of roll pallets are primarily used in supermarkets. The roll containers are loaded manually or automatically in a central warehouse. To simplify loading and improve stacking of goods on the roll pallet, the side walls are slightly spread open for automated loading, so that they protrude diagonally outwards at their top edge beyond the base plate. When the side walls are spread open, each wall protrudes approximately 2.5 to 5 cm at its top, increasing the distance between the side walls at their top by about 5 to 10 cm compared to a vertical orientation. This is usually achieved using special devices, such as sliding hooks.

[0004] The loaded roll pallets are then transported by truck to the supermarket branches. There, the roll pallets can be pushed directly to the respective sales shelves, and the goods can be unloaded from the roll pallet and sorted directly onto the shelf.

[0005] To prevent goods from falling out of the front and back of the container during transport, various devices are known. For example, straps stretched between the side walls are known from the prior art for securing the goods. While these are easy to use and stable, they often provide insufficient protection against the goods falling out.

[0006] Furthermore, flexible and stretchable tarpaulins that can be stretched between the side walls are known from the prior art, e.g., from GB 2529710 or DE 20 2019 106 463 U1. While these devices offer good protection against goods falling out, they are more complex to handle. Moreover, the size and shape of the tarpaulins must be adapted to the specific roll container used.

[0007] To enable quick and easy handling, especially during automated loading, it is advantageous if the transport securing device on the back of the roll pallet does not need to be removed when the pallet is loaded from the front. With the transport securing device closed, the otherwise open back is covered during loading, thus preventing goods from slipping off. The stability and durability of the transport securing device are therefore particularly important, as the mechanism for spreading the side walls typically engages at the back of the roll pallet during automated loading.

[0008] EP 2 103 499 A1 discloses a transport securing device for securing goods on a roll container with a first side wall and a second side wall parallel to it, wherein a securing plate is provided to cover an open side, the securing plate being fastened between the side walls by means of straps connected to the securing plate.

[0009] The KR 2016 0107450 A, the EP 3 395 644 A1 and the EP 3 514 038 A1 show similar transport securing devices.

[0010] The task is therefore to provide a transport securing device that reliably secures goods on a roll container, whereby the transport securing device can be opened and closed easily and quickly and is durable.

[0011] Accordingly, a transport securing device for securing goods on a roll container is based on this, comprising a first side wall and a second side wall parallel to the first side wall, wherein open sides are formed between the side walls, wherein the transport securing device has a securing plate for covering an open side, wherein the securing plate has at least two upper fastening elements in its upper area for fastening, arranging and / or retracting an upper strap that can be tensioned between the first and second side walls of the roll container, and wherein at least one lower fastening element is provided in the lower area of the securing plate for attaching a lower fastening means for fastening the securing plate to the first and / or the second side wall.

[0012] It is therefore provided that a securing plate is provided to cover an open side, wherein the securing plate has at least two upper fastening elements in its upper area for fastening an upper strap that can be tensioned between the first and second side wall of the roll container, wherein the upper fastening elements are designed in such a way that they allow movement of the upper strap relative to the securing plate, and wherein at least one lower fastening element is provided for guiding a lower fastening means for fastening the securing plate in the lower area of the securing plate.

[0013] The invention solves the problem with the characterizing features of claim 1.

[0014] According to the invention, it is accordingly provided that an elastically stretchable upper strap is guided in the upper fastening elements, wherein the upper strap is guided in a relatively movable manner relative to the securing plate.

[0015] A transport restraint according to the invention can be arranged on the side wall of a roll container such that one open side of the roll container is covered. For loading, the transport restraint can be easily opened and positioned along the side wall. The transport restraint can thus be attached to the side wall in such a way that it is rotatable or pivotable on the side wall by means of the upper strap and the lower fastening element guided in at least one lower fastening element; in particular, the transport restraint functions like a door for closing the open side. If the open side is to be covered, the transport restraint can be reversibly connected to the other side wall by means of the upper strap.

[0016] The handling process is no different from that of using a strap without a transport securing device according to the invention. Therefore, after initial attachment, the transport securing device according to the invention can be opened and closed particularly quickly and easily during normal use. Since the upper strap is movably guided in the fastening elements, the securing plate of the transport securing device according to the invention is subjected to only minimal stress. For example, during automated loading, the spreading of the side walls only results in stress on the upper strap, while the securing plate is not subjected to any lateral tension. This significantly increases the durability of the transport securing device.

[0017] By attaching the fastener in the upper area, i.e., on the upper half of the securing plate, and in the lower area, i.e., in the lower half of the securing plate, a stable fastening is achieved.

[0018] The securing plate can therefore be moved or shifted along the belt, or the belt can be moved reversibly perpendicular to the securing plate or relative to the two upper fastening elements.

[0019] Advantageous embodiments result from the features of the dependent claims: The upper and lower fastening elements can be arranged in the upper and lower edge regions of the securing plate. These edge regions extend from the lower edge up to 25% of the plate height and from 75% of the plate height to the upper edge. For a plate with a height of 1400 mm, the edge regions thus each extend 350 mm from the lower and upper edges, respectively. This enables a particularly stable fastening of the transport securing device to a roll container.

[0020] To achieve extensive coverage of the open side, the transport securing device can be designed to be essentially rectangular, with rounded corners to prevent damage. This transport securing device is therefore particularly suitable for use with standard roll pallets if the top and bottom edges of the securing plate are parallel to each other, with the side edges perpendicular to both the top and bottom edges. In this configuration, the top and bottom edges are of equal length, and both side edges are of equal height.

[0021] To ensure comprehensive coverage of the open sides on the front and back of standard roll containers, it is advantageous for the top and bottom edges to have a length of 500–800 mm, preferably 600–650 mm. The same effect is achieved if the side edges have a height of 1200–1700 mm, preferably 1200–1400 mm. This allows the transport securing device to be used with various models of common roll pallets.

[0022] If the size of the transport lock is slightly smaller than the open side, easy handling and secure coverage of the open side are achieved.

[0023] The locking plate can be designed to be torsionally rigid to facilitate easy handling. For example, the locking plate can be designed as a structured chamber plate. The locking plate can preferably be made of polypropylene.

[0024] To ensure an even load distribution on the upper strap, the upper fastening elements may be arranged in such a way that the upper strap is guided parallel to the upper edge.

[0025] The upper fastening elements can be designed as continuous recesses, in particular cutouts. If a cross-shaped or T-shaped first upper fastening element, aligned parallel to the edges, is provided, snapping back of the belt when releasing the reversible connection can be avoided if the reversibly connectable first end of the belt is pulled through the cross-shaped or T-shaped fastening element. A slot-shaped second upper fastening element, aligned parallel to the side edges, can achieve a more uniform and reduced mechanical load on the belt.

[0026] For attaching the lower fastening element to the securing plate, a first lower fastening element and a second lower fastening element can also be provided. Designing the lower fastening elements as continuous recesses, especially cutouts, is particularly advantageous. The transport securing device can be attached to a trolley particularly easily if a lower fastening element is provided in the lower fastening element. In a transport securing device with a lower strap as the fastening element, the first lower fastening element can be cross-shaped or T-shaped. The second lower fastening element, which can also be provided for attaching the fastening element, can also be slot-shaped.

[0027] If only one lower fastening element is provided, it is preferably arranged on the same side of the securing plate as the second upper fastening element to allow the securing plate to rotate when attached to a trolley. The lower fastening element can then be, for example, a self-locking, preferably length-adjustable and / or reversibly non-releasable, strap. A cable tie is particularly preferred.

[0028] For embodiments that do not provide a lower fastening means with a strap connectable to both side walls, an additional lower fixing element can be arranged in the first lower fastening element to further stabilize the transport securing mechanism. Advantageously, the additional fixing element can be designed to be reversibly detachable.

[0029] For a transport securing device with an additional lower fastening element, such as a hook-and-loop fastener, a cord with a clamp, or a cord with a locking element, the first lower fastening element can also be slotted. If a lower fastening element and an additional lower fastening element, or a further lower fastening element, are provided, the transport securing device is particularly stable if both are non-stretchable or inelastic. This allows the transport securing device to be attached even more securely to a trolley. To allow rotation around a trolley mounting bar used to secure the transport securing device, the lower fastening element can be designed to be attached to the bar with minimal play. The length of the fastening element and the lower additional fixing element can be chosen so that they are almost taut when the side walls are spread, while they are arranged somewhat more loosely when the side walls are not spread. Since the distance between the side walls only increases slightly in the lower area when spreading, the stability of the transport securing device is not affected.

[0030] To allow for the replacement of the lower fastening elements, either a continuous cross- or T-shaped recess, or a continuous slot-shaped recess, can be provided as the first lower fastening element.

[0031] The lower fastening elements are preferably equidistant from the bottom edge of the securing plate, so that the strap is parallel to the upper strap, or so that they can be arranged at the same distance from the bottom edge of the securing plate. This ensures a uniform load distribution on the securing plate.

[0032] It is particularly advantageous if the upper, and if applicable the lower, fastening elements are designed symmetrically to a longitudinal axis of the securing plate running parallel to the side edges, with a cross- or T-shaped and a slot-shaped fastening element provided on each side of the longitudinal axis. This allows the transport securing device to be attached in any position.

[0033] Quick and easy handling is also possible if the upper strap has a first connecting element at a first end for reversible connection with one of the side walls of the roll container, wherein in particular it is provided that the first connecting element is designed as a hook for hooking into the side wall.

[0034] The transport securing device is particularly stable and durable if the first connecting element, or hook, is made of metal. A hook made of steel wire is especially stable and cost-effective. To prevent slippage along the side wall bar, the hook can be coated with a non-slip plastic coating.

[0035] The connection to the roll container is particularly stable if a lower, especially elastically stretchable, strap is provided as the lower fastening means, wherein the lower strap has a first connecting element at a first end for reversible connection with one of the side walls of the roll container.

[0036] At the other end of the straps, an eyelet can be provided for connecting the transport securing device to the roll container; this eyelet can be used to form a loop. Advantageously, the eyelet is also made of metal, particularly steel wire. This prevents the connecting elements from breaking, even with frequent use.

[0037] To achieve a particularly quick and easy connection of the transport securing device to the roll container, it can therefore be provided that the transport securing device can be connected to the first and second side walls by two straps, wherein the straps have at least at one end a hook element for connection to one of the side walls and at the other end an eyelet for forming a loop around a pole of the other side wall.

[0038] It can also be advantageous to provide hook elements or one hook element at each end of a strap, so that the transport securing device can be quickly and easily attached to a trolley and just as quickly removed from the trolley.

[0039] Attaching the transport securing device to a trolley is particularly easy if at least the upper strap is elastically stretchable, whereby the strap can be stretched by a factor of 25 to 100%, particularly 40 to 60%, i.e., has an elongation factor of 25 to 100%, particularly 40 to 60%, preferably 45%. These specifications refer to the elastic range of the strap, i.e., the length of the strap minus the length of the connecting elements.

[0040] This elasticity of the strap facilitates spreading for automatic loading and easy handling during attachment, for example by hooking it into the side wall. At the same time, sufficient stability is achieved to secure the goods. The strap can be guided in the fastening elements in such a way that at least some movement relative to the securing plate, caused by elastic stretching, is permitted.

[0041] Particularly stable securing of the goods and easy handling can be achieved if the ratio between the length of the lower edge and the length of the upper strap in the unstretched state is between 0.9:1 and 1.3:1. In this case, the length of the upper strap is defined as the entire length including the connecting elements.

[0042] It is particularly advantageous if the upper strap, or straps, have a length of 350 - 600 mm, in particular 370 - 550 mm, in the unstretched state and a length of 600 - 850 mm, preferably 840 mm, in the stretched state.

[0043] Good elasticity and durability are achieved, for example, when the belt contains natural rubber, or even better, is made entirely of natural rubber. A particularly durable belt can also be provided if it is made from a blend of a firm textile and an elastic material.

[0044] To ensure the transport securing device remains stable on the roll container during loading or storage, a magnetic element, such as a magnetic strip, can be attached to the securing plate in such a way that the plate can be positioned parallel to a side wall of the roll container. The magnet can then interact with the metallic side wall of a standard roll container and stabilize the transport securing device.

[0045] According to the invention, a roll container, in particular a roll pallet, has a base plate, wherein rollers are arranged on the underside of the base plate, wherein a first side wall and a second side wall opposite the first side wall are arranged laterally on the upper side of the base plate facing away from the rollers, wherein at least one previously described transport securing device is provided between the first and second side wall to cover a further, open side.

[0046] This type of roll container is suitable for use in automated loading systems as well as for manual loading. Handling is particularly quick and easy.

[0047] To simplify the loading of the roll container, it may be provided that the first and second side walls are reversibly expandable, in particular that, when expanded, the distance between the side walls at the upper end of the side walls facing away from the base plate is greater than at the lower end of the side walls connected to the base plate.

[0048] Goods can be secured particularly well when two transport securing devices are used. Handling a roll container is especially easy when two identical transport securing devices are provided.

[0049] Handling a roll container is particularly easy when the side walls have upward-projecting bars at the corners of the base plate. The upper strap can be reversibly connected at its first end to diagonally opposite connecting bars via the first connecting element, and at its second end is attached to the fastening bar located in the intermediate corner area, in particular by a loop surrounding the fastening bar. In this case, the transport securing device can be positioned between the side walls to cover the open side wall and can be positioned along one side wall for loading or storage. The transport securing device can then be opened or closed, like a door, by rotating or pivoting it around the fastening bar.

[0050] Rapid and stable securing of the goods can be achieved if the connecting element of the upper strap can be positively connected to the connecting bars. This can be achieved particularly easily if the connecting element can be arranged to at least partially encircle the connecting bar.

[0051] It may further be provided that a locking element is arranged on the connecting element, wherein the locking element is connected to the connecting elements, in particular in a detachable manner. The locking element is preferably designed such that slippage of the connecting element along the side wall bar is prevented. To protect the goods transported on the roll container against theft, the locking element can be reversibly locked with a lock, wherein the lock can in particular be secured with a numerical code or key.

[0052] To attach the transport securing device to the fastening bar, the loop can be provided, for example, by having an eyelet, preferably made of steel wire, at the second end of the strap. This makes the connection particularly durable and stable.

[0053] An anti-theft device can be attached to the loop to prevent unauthorized removal of the strap from the roll container. For example, a snap fastener can be attached to the loop, which can be inserted through a hole in the tensioning strap and secured on the opposite side, e.g., with a screw. This makes removing the strap more difficult.

[0054] Removing the transport securing device can also be avoided if the lower fastening element is permanently connected to the securing plate and the mounting rod. A cable tie is particularly preferred as the lower fastening element. Furthermore, it is particularly possible to provide a hook-and-loop fastener as the lower fastening element, preferably permanently connected by gluing or stapling.

[0055] A hook and loop fastener is particularly suitable as a lower fastening device, as it allows a stable connection that can be easily adjusted so that the transport lock can be attached to the roll container in the desired position in front of the open side, while at the same time achieving the mobility required for automatic loading and rotation around the fastening bar.

[0056] To increase the stability of the transport securing device when covering the open side, a lower additional fixing device may be provided, wherein the further lower fastening device or the lower additional fixing device is reversibly connectable to the securing plate and to the connecting rods.

[0057] Some storage systems incorporate automatic detection of empty roll containers, achieved by scanning the goods on the base plate. In these systems, it is advantageous for the transport securing device to be integrated with the base plate, specifically ensuring that the distance between the lower edge of the securing plate and the base plate is 150–200 mm. In this case, it is particularly advantageous for the lower fastening element or device to be positioned as close as possible to the lower edge. For such systems, it is especially advantageous to provide an additional lower fastening device or securing element.

[0058] A quick attachment and release of the lower additional fixing device, and thus easy handling, is achieved if the lower additional fixing device is also designed as a hook and loop fastener.

[0059] The same effect can be achieved if the additional lower fastening device or the additional fixing device is designed as a cord with an adjustable clamp or as a cord with a locking element.

[0060] A roll container with a particularly stable cover can be provided if a lower strap is provided, wherein the lower strap is attached at its second end to the fastening rod, in particular by a loop surrounding the fastening rod, and is reversibly connectable at its first end to the connecting rods by the connecting element.

[0061] Stability can be further increased by providing a locking element, particularly a screw or cable tie, on the open side at the edge of the base plate. The locking element can, for example, be inserted or guided through a hole already present in the base plate. This increases stability when the transport securing device extends to the base plate. In this case, an additional lower fastening element is not necessary, but can be provided as an extra.

[0062] A particularly advantageous embodiment features a cable tie as the lower fastening element and another cable tie attached to the base plate as a locking element, designed and positioned to prevent the plate from pivoting. Cable ties are especially durable, can be attached quickly and easily to the desired length, and are readily available at low cost. If increased stability is required, this preferred embodiment can utilize a cord with a clamp, which is either inelastic or only slightly elastic, as an additional lower fixing element, since it is also quick to attach and adjustable to the desired length.

[0063] Particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention are illustrated by way of example with reference to the following drawings, without limiting the general inventive concept. Fig. 1 shows an exemplary roll container with side walls spread open for loading and an exemplary transport securing device. Fig. 2 shows the roll container Fig. 1 in an oblique view with transport securing devices arranged along the side walls. Fig. 3 shows the pivoting of the side walls of an exemplary transport securing device into a storage position. Fig. 4 shows the pivoting of the side walls of an exemplary transport securing device into a loading and unloading position. Fig. 5 shows a locking plate of an exemplary transport locking device. Fig. 6 It shows a Velcro fastener as an alternative lower fastening method. Fig. 7 The lower additional fixing device shown is a cord with a blocking element. Fig. 8 As an alternative to an additional fixing agent, a cord with a clamp is shown. Fig. 9 shows an alternative securing plate for an exemplary transport securing device. Fig. 10 shows another alternative for exemplary transport securing. Fig. 11 This shows yet another alternative for exemplary transport securing.

[0064] Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 Figure 1 shows an exemplary roll container 100 with a base plate 103, which has rollers 104 on its underside and a first side wall 101 and a second side wall 102 on its upper side. In the illustrated embodiment, the side walls 101, 102 are spread apart for loading. The distance between the bars 105, 106 of the first side wall 101 and the bars 105, 106 of the second side wall 102 is thereby increased at the upper end of the side walls 101, 102 facing away from the base plate 103, so that the distance between the first side wall 101 and the second side wall 102 is greater at the upper end than at the lower end.

[0065] In the depicted view, the further side located between the side walls 101 and 102 is largely covered by a securing plate 1 of an exemplary transport securing device. Loading of the roll container 100 is possible from the open rear, which is not visible.

[0066] The securing plate 1 has two fastening elements 6, 7 in its upper region, which are designed as continuous recesses, in particular as cutouts. An upper elastic strap 10 is guided in the upper fastening elements 6, 7 and is connected to the first side wall 101 and the second side wall 102. In the illustrated embodiment, the upper strap 10 is stretched by the spreading of the side walls 101, 102.

[0067] A lower fastening element is provided in the lower area of the securing plate 1. In the illustrated embodiment, the lower fastening element is a lower strap 13, which is guided in lower fastening elements 8, 9. In the illustrated embodiment, the lower fastening elements 8, 9 are also cutouts.

[0068] In the illustrated embodiment, a cross-shaped first fastening element 6, 8 and a slot-shaped second fastening element 7, 9 are provided for guiding the belts 10, 13.

[0069] The upper fastening elements 6, 7 allow movement of the upper strap 10 relative to the securing plate 1, in particular movement caused by the elastic elongation of the upper strap 10. Likewise, the lower fastening elements 8, 9, which are also designed as continuous recesses, allow movement of the lower strap 13 relative to the securing plate 1. Therefore, when the side walls 101, 102 are spread apart, no tensile load is exerted on the securing plate 1; only the straps 10, 11 are stretched.

[0070] Fig. 2 Figure 1 shows a roll container 100 in an oblique view with two recoiled transport devices. The roll container 100 shown is a roll pallet commonly used in supermarkets. The roll container 100 has a base plate 103, on the underside of which rollers 104 are arranged. On the upper side opposite the rollers 104, a first side wall 101 and a second side wall 102 are arranged. The side walls 101, 102 are positioned at the edges of the base plate 103, so that they are parallel to each other. The side walls 101, 102 each have two rods 105, 106 arranged in the corner regions of the base plate 103, with the rods 105, 106 being connected in an arc at their upper end, the end facing away from the base plate 103. A grid is arranged between the bars 105, 106 of a side wall 101, 102, so that cross braces run between the bars 105, 106 of a side wall 101, 102.

[0071] Two transport restraints are attached to the roll container 100, arranged along the side walls 101, 102. Each transport restraint has a securing plate 1 in which upper fastening elements 6, 7 are provided for guiding an upper strap 10 and lower fastening elements 8, 9 for guiding a lower strap 13. The securing plate 1 is attached to the roll container 100 via the upper strap 10 and the lower strap 13. A first end of each strap 10, 13 is connected to a connecting rod 106 by a first connecting element 11, 14, which in the illustrated embodiment is a hook, in particular a metal hook. This connection of the connecting element 11, 14 is reversibly detachable, since the hook can be engaged and disengaged from the connecting rod 106, thus enabling the connecting rod 106 to be arranged in a form-fitting manner.

[0072] The second ends of each strap 10, 13 are rotatably attached to rods serving as fastening rods 105. In the illustrated embodiment, the fastening rods 105 and the connecting rods 106 are arranged diagonally opposite each other, with the first ends of each strap 10, 13 being connectable to both connecting rods 106. In the illustrated embodiment, the straps 10, 13 are arranged such that, when arranged along the side walls 101, 102, the hooks engage the connecting rod 106 from the inside of the roll container 100, and when the open side is covered, they engage from the outside. This simplifies the handling of the connecting elements 11, 14. In the illustrated embodiment, the hooks are 80 mm long and have a diameter of 22 mm.

[0073] To prevent the belt 10, 13 from snapping back, the fastening element 6, 8, which faces the first connecting element 11, 14, is designed in a cross shape, or the belt 10, 13 is guided with its first end through the cross-shaped first fastening element 6, 8.

[0074] The second fastening element 7, 9, facing the second end of the belt 10, 13, is each slot-shaped.

[0075] At the second end of each strap 10, 13, it is connected to one of the fastening rods 105, whereby the strap 10 is arranged to encompass the rod 105 and is pulled through an eyelet provided at the end of the strap 10, so that a loop is formed as the second connecting element 12, 15.

[0076] In the illustrated embodiment, the straps 10, 13 are made of a composite fabric of strong textile and elastic fibers. The straps 10, 13 have a length of 500 mm when unstretched and 800 mm when stretched. In the illustrated embodiment, the straps 10, 13 have a height of 48 mm and a thickness of 1.8 mm. The maximum tensile force in the illustrated embodiment is 100 Nm.

[0077] Fig. 3 Figure 1 shows the arrangement of the transport securing device in a storage position. The securing plate 1 is positioned inside the roll container 100 along the side wall 101 by pivoting around the fastening rod 105.

[0078] Fig. 4 Figure 1 shows the arrangement of the transport securing device in a loading and unloading position. The securing plate 1 is positioned along the outside of the side wall 101 by pivoting around the mounting rod 105. After loading, the transport securing device can be closed by rotating it around the mounting rod 105 and hooked onto the diagonally opposite connecting rod 106. After unloading, the transport securing device can be rotated to the inside of the roll container 100 and hooked onto the same connecting rod 106, as shown in Figure 1. Fig. 3 shown.

[0079] Fig. 5 Figure 1 shows a securing plate 1 for transport securing. In the illustrated embodiment, the securing plate 1 is a multi-chamber plate made of polypropylene. To avoid sharp edges, the edges of the multi-chamber plate can be compressed and rounded, particularly by heating. This also prevents the ingress of foreign objects or liquids into the interior of the multi-chamber plate.
