Abstract

The present invention generally relates to medicinal plants composition effective in healing of hepatitis A, B, and C. The syrup composition comprises hydro-alcoholic or aqueous extracts derived from the roots of Mandraca, the fruits of Gardenia ternifolia, and the leaves of Ajuga integrifolia, combined with a pharmaceutically acceptable sweetening syrup vehicle, stabilizing agents, and preservatives. Method of treating hepatitis A, B, and C comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of the medicinal plants composition of the present invention. The invention further provides a scalable process for preparing the standardized botanical extract blend and formulating it into an orally deliverable liquid dosage form with improved bio-accessibility, taste masking, and extended shelf-life.
