Abstract

Disclosed is a hinge assembly (200, 300) for eyeglasses (100) comprises a housing (204) comprises a frame part (202) having deformable region(s) (206a, 206b), wherein the housing defines a cavity (208) to accommodate electrical conductor(s) extending between a temple (210, 306) of the eyeglasses and a front frame (102, 212) of the eyeglasses; an anchoring element (214) configured for rigid attachment of the housing to the front frame; and a temple connection portion (216) configured to couple the housing to the temple, wherein when a force (110a, 110b, 218) is applied at the temple, the deformable regions(s) undergoes plastic deformation to adjust a pantoscopic tilt of the eyeglasses, the cavity being configured to permit said deformation such that the pantoscopic tilt is adjustable within a first predefined angular range while maintaining electrical continuity of the electrical conductor(s) during said deformation.
