Measurement device for measuring ocular properties

Abstract

The disclosure relates to a measurement device (100) for measuring at least one ocular property of an eye (120). The measurement device (100) comprises a housing (101) defining a measurement axis (130) and an opening (152) along the measurement axis (130). A confocal chromatic sensor (150) is arranged in the housing (101) and comprises a light source (102) positioned on the measurement axis (130) and configured to emit a light beam (112) toward a cornea (122) having a front surface (124) and a back surface (126), a focusing lens (108) arranged on the measurement axis (130) and having a central aperture (164) aligned with the opening (152), and a spectrometer (110) configured to analyse a reflection of the light beam (112) from the corneal surfaces (124, 126). A tonometer (160) is arranged on the measurement axis (130), the tonometer (160) extending at least partially through the central aperture (164) and comprising a probe (162) that is controllable to move along the measurement axis (130) to extend outwardly through the opening (152) for contacting the corneal surface. The probe (162) and the light beam (112) are coaxial with the measurement axis (130).
