Abstract

This invention relates to an automated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Auto-CPR) device incorporating an electromechanical system governed by real-time patient feedback. The device integrates a pulse sensor to continuously monitor circulatory activity and detect the return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). Upon detection of spontaneous cardiac activity, chest compressions are automatically discontinued, thereby minimizing unnecessary mechanical force and reducing the risk of injury. Additionally, the system is able to self-start and automatically initiates CPR (chest compressions) initially when it is connected to a patient whose heart is stopped and blood circulation has ceased. Moreover, the invention includes a respiratory mask system designed to deliver oxygen, remove carbon dioxide, and analyse respiratory gas composition, ensuring effective and optimised ventilatory support.
