Abstract The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a ceramic waveguide, comprising sintering a green product to provide a sintered ceramic body (6) and creating a cavity (10) in the sintered ceramic body (6) to define a waveguide, where the cavity (10) is formed using a reductive process. A conductive layer (18) is provided on at least a portion of the surface of the cavity (10) to define one or more wall of the waveguide in use. [Figure 2]
