Apparatus for dust-free processing

Abstract

An apparatus (1000) comprises a dust extractor (500) to extract dust particles (DUST1) formed by processing a workpiece (OBJ1) with a power tool (TOOL1). The dust extractor (500) comprises a first motor (M1), a suction fan (FAN1), a first communication unit (RXTX1), and a first control unit (CNT1), wherein the first communication unit (RXTX1) is arranged to establish a communication link (LINK1) with a second communication unit (RXTX2) of the power tool (TOOL1), wherein the first control unit (CNT1) is arranged to receive a start signal (COM1a) from the power tool (TOOL1) via the communication link (LINK1), wherein the first control unit (CNT1) is arranged to start rotation of the suction fan (FAN1) based on the received start signal (COM1a), wherein the suction fan (FAN1) is arranged to draw an air flow (AIR1) via the apparatus (1000), and wherein the first control unit (CNT1) is arranged to send a permission signal (COM2a) to the power tool (TOOL1) via the communication link (LINK1) after rotation of the suction fan (FAN1) has been started, in order to allow a motor (M2) of the power tool (TOOL1) to start rotating.
