System and method for treating chemical spill

Abstract

Disclosed is system (100, 200) for treating chemical spill (202), system comprising: control center (102); container (104, 206) adapted to be installed on deck of marine vessel (106, 204), in which container contains: elongated oil containment boom (EOCB) (108, 210) that is stored in pull-out manner in container, first retractable door (110, 310A) on first side(s) (112) of container and adapted to be opened with first actuator(s) (114, 306), first means of communication (116) to connect container with control centre; first boat(s) (118, 212) comprising: first winch (124, 214) attached to EOCB to dampen movement of EOCB, second means of communication (126) adapted to communicate with first means of communication; lifting device (120) to lift first boat(s) out of container, feeding device (122, 214) configured to feed EOCB out of container to treat chemical spill, and in which operation of feeding device is synchronized with operation of lifting device.
