AI Technical Summary
Existing multibolt locks with electromagnets in cantilevered positions are prone to shearing forces, compromising their reliability and complicating the double opening mechanism.
The electromagnet is positioned horizontally and indirectly acts on the rod via a movable part, intermediately with a fixed abutment, avoiding direct shearing forces and enhancing reliability.
This configuration simplifies the double opening mechanism and increases the reliability of multibolt locks by reducing direct shearing forces on the electromagnet.
Abstract
Description
The purpose of this addition is to provide an improvement to the Main patent relating essentially to the improvement of the intervention conditions of the electromagnet connected to the electronic control. We will describe below this improvement with reference to the attached drawing in which Figure 1 represents a door to which the means of addition are applied, while Figure 2 represents in enlarged view a detail of Figure 1. Figure 1 is a perspective view representing a door 1, interior side, equipped with a key lock, with conventional mechanical operation 2, transmitting vertical movements to two demitringles 3,3' acting on two bolts 13,13', the door is also provided with a fixed stop 11, and an electromagnet 8 connected to an electronic control keypad 12 by programmed code, located on the exterior part of the door. The electromagnet has the particularity, for the improvement of its operation, of not being in a cantilevered position, such as the horizontal position, and of not acting directly on the rod 3,3' so that it avoids being subjected to a shear force. I1 therefore acts indirectly, as an intermediary, vertically, by its mobile part, and jointly with the fixed stop 11, so that the tip 6 is interposed between a bolt 13 of the mechanical lock and the said fixed stop.By this means, we simplify the double opening control in the case of a locking system with more than three points, and increase its reliability. Figure 2 shows a detail of Figure 1. On this detail, a means 14 allows, manually, the release of the bolt 13 and the tip 6 for unlocking the door, on the inside. The operation is identical to that of the Main Patent. The opening of door 1 is achieved by the emission of one or more codes from the computerized keypad 12 located on the outside side of door 1, which controls the electromagnet 8, allowing the release and movement of the intermediate bolt 13 by the operation of the key in the lock 2. It is understood that a provision identical to the one that follows to be described could be adopted for the 13t penile.
Claims
DEMANDS X, Automatic locking device using an electromagnet for the sliding rod of a multipoint residential door lock, the unlocking of which is achieved via an external keypad with numeric or alphanumeric control emitting a timed electronic pulse on an internal circuit, acting on the electromagnet, which allows the key to rotate to open the door, according to claim 1 of the main patent, characterized in that the movable part integral with the vertically arranged electromagnet (8) is interposed between the bolt (13) of a mechanical lock and an independent fixed stop L1 mounted on the door.
2. Automatic locking device according to claim 1, characterized in that the movable and protruding part (6) of the electromagnet comprises an end piece (6) provided with a lever (14) allowing manual actuation of said movable part (6) from the inside, in order to manually disengage the bolt (13). the tip (6) for unlocking the note.
3. Automatic locking device according to claim 1, characterized in that the electromagnet (8) and the stop (11) are attached to the door (1) inside side.
