Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to French patent NO 89 06890 and constitutes an addition to that patent. According to the device described by French patent NO 89 06890, two suspension tubes, each comprising a seat and a gripping member, are connected by joints to a support for the apparatus and to a rigid connecting member comprising one or more footrests. According to one embodiment of the invention, this rigid connecting element is in the form of a bent metal rod or tube, serving both as a gripping element and a footrest. In practice, this arrangement proves to be rather inconvenient for users to initiate the swing's oscillation from its stationary position. The device, which is the subject of the invention, makes it possible to obtain a swing whose oscillation can easily be initiated from its stopping position. To achieve this, each end of the rigid connecting element is joined by a joint, under one of the two swing seats, to a metal suspension tube or to any other element, for example, a metal one, fixed to this metal suspension tube by a rigid mechanical connection. One end of this rigid connecting element joins a metal suspension tube under the seat to which this tube is attached, and the other end of this rigid connecting element joins the other metal suspension tube under the seat to which this other tube is attached. See attached drawing: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of the device. According to this figure 1, the two suspension tubes 1 are connected to the apparatus support 2 and to the rigid connecting member 3 comprising the footrest 4. Each of the two ends of this rigid connecting member 3 joins a metal suspension tube 1 by means of a joint 5 located under the seat 6 fixed to each suspension tube 1. A gripping member 7 is connected, by a rigid mechanical linkage, to each suspension tube 1. The device, which is the subject of the invention, can be used as a two-seater swing.
Claims
Device forming a two-seater swing, according to claim 1 of the main patent, characterized in that each of the two ends of the rigid connecting member (3) is connected, under one of the two seats (6) of the swing, to a metal suspension tube (1) or to any element fixed to this metal suspension tube (1) by a rigid mechanical connection.
