AI Technical Summary
The flow rate of slurry products used for seed treatment varies due to particle accumulation at the outlet adjustment orifice, leading to inconsistent treatment, particularly with mini flexible lamellar pumps.
Adapting a mini flexible lamellar pump to the lower axis of a screw rotating at low speed, ensuring it is positioned low and driven by friction or gravity, with variable speed control and adjustable flow via wheels or elastic coupling, and using a tubular assembly with a winch for seed bagging.
Ensures a reliable, regular, and adjustable flow of liquid for seed treatment, achieving a homogeneous mixture with the grain, enhancing safety and efficiency in seed treatment processes.
Abstract
Description
This addition concerns improvements that can be adapted to the Main patent filed on 15 / 04 / 87 registered under N°87 05411, by the applicant under the same title. It relates to improvements in the flow rate of liquid to be incorporated at the same time as the seed to obtain homogeneous treatment, and to a simple device to facilitate the safe lifting of screws intended for bagging in trailers. Previously, the flow of loaded liquid products used for seed treatment was subject to variations due to the accumulation of particles towards the outlet adjustment orifice (tablet or quarter-turn valve due to the narrowing of the orifice for the necessary adjustment). The first invention relates to adapting a mini pump with flexible vanes, usually adaptable to a drill and therefore inexpensive, to the lower shaft of a screw rotating at low speed (60 to 80 rpm). The pump's flow rate is proportional to the rotational speed. This type of pump allows the transfer of all liquids, even chemical or containing solids. However, to obtain a reliable, regular, and adjustable flow rate, two conditions must be met: 1 - The mini auxiliary pump, adapted to the lower position of the screw and driven by friction at low speed by the screw shaft, must be supplied at low pressure or by gravity from the liquid distribution tank located on its support at a higher level, as the slow rotation prevents suction. 2 - That the rotation speed of the mini pump can be varied in order to obtain an adjustable flow rate. This implies the adaptation on its shaft of rollers of different diameters acting as drive rollers by friction on the end of the shaft or the elastic coupling of the screw. The second invention relates to a tubular assembly equipped with a winch that can be slid and easily adapted onto the sliding lifting system of soft-bottom screws approximately 4 meters long, intended for bagging seeds in trailers. The first invention will be better understood by reading the following description, in relation to the attached drawing. The fixing device is positioned on the upper cross member at the bottom. It consists of a jaw (1) locked by 2 bolts on the cross member; a vertical tube attached to this assembly contains a compression spring (2) which allows the pump (3), bolted to another sliding support, to be driven via the interchangeable roller (6). The liquid product arrives via pipe (4), and is forced into the lower part of the soft-bottom screw via pipe (5) in order to obtain a regular mixture of product with the grain to be treated.
Claims
DEMANDS i - Device with mini pump 3 flexible vanes adaptable in the lower part of the screw 3 flexible bottom for seed treatment according to claim I of the main patent character in that it is quickly fixed on the inner cross member of the chassis by means of a jaw fitted with 2 bolts. 2- Device according to Claim 1 characterized in that the mini pump is driven by friction by the output shaft of the screw rotating at approximately 383 revolutions per minute, or by pressing on the coupling of the electro-reducer in the case where the latter is positioned at the bottom of the screw. 3 - Device according to Claims 1 and 2 characterized by the presence of a compression spring in the pump fixing device to exert slight pressure on the drive disc or roller of the latter. 4 - Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized by the interchangeability of the rollers or drive discs to allow the flow rate of the pump to be adjusted as appropriate. 5 - Device according to any one of the Claims of Main patent adaptable to the chassis of screws intended for bagging in trailers and designed with the help of a manual winch to raise the screw with a soft bottom easily and safely.
