Abstract
Description
This addition concerns improvements made to the Patent filed on 18 / 10 / 89 by the applicant under the same title, and registered under Number 89 13727. It concerns a low-profile mobile sorter. Its purpose is, firstly, to improve the operation of the shaking table (designed to remove stones and husks from forage pea seeds and spikelets from cereals). Since this table is located above the screw brush that removes broken grains, the addition aims to lower the interchangeable upper grid located within the shaking table to allow grain from the rear hatch of a hopper or seed container to be emptied onto it. It also envisions replacing the belt drive with unequal pulleys with a more compact and less expensive system. On the other hand, there are the cleaning methods for the lower circular grid, which allows for the sorting of broken grains. This device, whether manual or mechanical, uses a rubber scraper or a brush on a longitudinal support that pivots on the screw axis and is supported at each end. The reciprocating (or continuous at low speed) movement of this device allows for better sorting by removing any grains that might remain stuck between the grid slots. The invention will be better understood by reading the following description in relation to the attached drawings which schematically represent examples of implementation. The aim being to super-multiply the rotational movement transmitted by the screw brush at approximately 40 revolutions per minute to obtain a rapid reciprocating movement (approximately 250 strokes per minute), a plywood disc with a diameter of 300 to 400 mm was positioned on the axis of the screw driving a small diameter rubberized pulley equipped with an eccentric to obtain a connecting rod which will drive the control arm of the table. In Figure 1, note the plywood disc (l) (15 to 22 mm thick) which drives the small-diameter rubberized pulley (2) with its second axle forming the connecting rod head. The pulley (2) is held under pressure on the large disc (l) by the device (3) with lever and spring. The connecting rod (4) transmits the reciprocating motion to the control arm (5) pivoting on a fixed articulated point (5a). This part is fitted at the top with a deep fork into which the axle of the shaking table (6) engages. The shaking table consists of a frame for attaching the interchangeable grid (7) equipped with baffles. The frame (6) supports three lightweight sheet metal deflectors (one on each side and one at the rear) which, with the movement, force the grain to fall lower onto the semi-circular lower grid. This mobile assembly is held on the fixed hopper (9) by the bilateral rubber bands (8). Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional view of the grid cleaning device with the screw brush (1) and the semi-circular grid (2). The rubber paddle (or brush) (3), fixed to its longitudinal support which is angled at each end (4), pivots on the screw shaft at each end. By operating the handle (5), the entire surface of the grid is swept lengthwise. Note that this action can be mechanical: slow animation by electric actuator, or sequential animation by pneumatic actuator and timer.
Claims
DEMANDS 1 - Overdrive device for the animation of the shaking table according to claim 2 of the main Patent intended to improve the lowering of the upper grid compared to the original system with unequal pulleys and belt, it comprises a large diameter disc made of thick plywood (or other) driving a small diameter rubberized roller. 2 - Device according to claim 1 intended to ensure the back and forth movement of the shaking table by a connecting rod which is driven by the small diameter rubber roller transmitting the movement to a pivoting vertical arm. 3 - Device according to claim 2 indicating that this pivoting vertical arm is provided with a jaw at the upper end, which receives the axis of the shaking table for animation. 4 - Device according to claim 3 characterized by the presence of 3 deflectors (2 lateral and 1 at the rear) located under the frame of the shaking table, which move with it to facilitate the descent of the grain. 5 - A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by the presence of a longitudinal rubber scraper fixed to a support angled at each end, which pivots on the two ends of the screw shaft. By acting on a lever manually or mechanically, the entire surface of the lower grid is cleaned of grains stuck in the slots to ensure better cleaning of broken grains.
