AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing methods for securing the tread to the suspension cradle in mobile toys are inadequate, leading to potential disintegration and loss of structural integrity.

Method used

A flexible sleeve is used to secure the tread to the suspension cradle, with a connecting member slidably mounted around a tube integral to the suspension hoop, ensuring rotational fixation of the tread and mechanical connection to the drive mechanism.

Benefits of technology

Enhances the structural integrity and durability of the tread by providing a robust connection that prevents disintegration, thereby improving the functionality and longevity of mobile toys.

Description

The present invention relates to French patent N° 90 04630 and constitutes an addition to that patent. According to the device described by French patent N° 90 04630, according to one embodiment of the invention, the tread is made solid to the end of the suspension arch by means of a flexible sleeve inside which is disposed the mechanical link established between the rigid assembly and the driving part of the motor mechanism. The present invention proposes an alternative method of connection allowing the tread to be secured to the end of the suspension arch. According to the device of the invention, the tread is made integral with the end of the suspension hoop by means of a connecting member mounted to slide around the outer periphery of a tube integral with the end of the suspension hoop. The mechanical link between the rigid assembly and the drive mechanism is located inside this tube. The connecting element is fixed against rotation relative to the tube. Similarly, the connecting element is fixed against rotation relative to the tread. To the accompanying drawings: - Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view describing in detail the functional structure. - Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view along AA (figure 1) showing more precisely, at an enlarged scale, the method of connecting the connecting element to the tube attached to the end of the suspension hoop. - Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view along BB (figure 1) showing more precisely, at an enlarged scale, the method of connecting the connecting element to the tread. According to Figures 1, 2, and 3, the tread component 1 is secured to the suspension arm 3 by the connecting member 4, which slides around the outer periphery of the tube 5. The tube 5 is attached to the end 6 of the suspension arm 3, which incorporates the drive mechanism 7. The mechanical connection between the rigid assembly 8 and the drive portion of the drive mechanism 7 is located inside the tube 5. This mechanical connection is achieved by the output shaft 9 of the drive mechanism 7, which, via the hook 10 inserted inside the ring 11, drives the rod 12, which directly connects to the rigid assembly 8. The connecting member 4 is rotationally fixed relative to the tube 5 by means of two stops formed by the profiled tabs 13 located on the periphery of the tube 5. These tabs 13 fit into the notches 14 formed in the connecting organ 4.Similarly, the connecting member 4 is fixed in rotation relative to the tread 2, by means of two stops formed by the tabs 15 located on the part 1 forming tread 2, these tabs 15 fitting into the notches 16 formed in the connecting member 4. The device, which is the subject of the invention, can be used for mobiles constituting toys.
