METHOD AND ELEMENTS FOR STACKED POSITION BOXES OR OTHER CYLINDRICAL OBJECTS. The present invention relates to improvements to the method of securing boxes or other cylindrical objects in a stacked position, which is the subject of the main patent. It also relates to new securing elements for implementing this method. It is recalled that this relates to objects whose upper face and bottom are recessed from the contiguous edges and, according to claim 1 of the main patent application, this method is characterized in that a wedge is interposed between the opposite faces of two superimposed boxes, the height of which is such that it exceeds the side walls of the box on which it rests and comes to engage in the lower recess of the superimposed box by a length equal at most to the distance by which the walls of this box exceed the bottom, said wedge having a shape such that it is in contact with at least two diametrically opposed points of the inner face of the walls of each of the boxes. Various types of shims can be used in the implementation of this process and, in particular, according to claim 4 of the main patent application, a shim in the form of a cylindrical ring. In continuing its work on this calibration process, the Applicant has been led to design various improvements which are the subject of this application for a certificate of addition. Firstly, it established that, in the case where the shim has the shape of a cylindrical ring, it is advantageous to stiffen this shim by providing on its inner face at least one part protruding perpendicular to this face, which facilitates the implementation of the process using automatic equipment, which can act continuously. A first object of the invention is therefore a method according to claim 4 of the main patent, characterized in that the cylindrical ring-shaped shimming element has, on its inner face, at least one projecting part, perpendicular to this face, capable of stiffening this shimming element. This protruding portion can advantageously be formed by a continuous rib on the inner face of the shim. Alternatively, several protruding portions can be provided, situated in the same plane perpendicular to the inner face of the shim. With the same goal of stiffening the cylindrical ring-shaped shim element, the Applicant also designed such an element which includes a transverse flat part, perpendicular to the inner face of this element. This flat part ensures the rigidity of the ring and, advantageously, it is pierced with a plurality of openings which, in the case of its application to the securing of cans of preserves, for example, allow the drainage of the contents of these cans after they have been opened. Such a cushioning element will then be sold with one of the boxes it has secured in a stacked position, to which it can be attached by any means known in the art, for example, with adhesive tape. It will then constitute an attractive selling point, since the user will no longer need a colander to drain the contents of the purchased box after opening it. The invention therefore has as its second object a method according to claim 4 of the main patent application, characterized in that 1 shim element in the form of a cylindrical ring, comprises a transverse partition, preferably pierced with at least one opening, perpendicular to its inner face. Finally, by continuing its studies on the shimming elements defined above, the Applicant designed a variant of the shimming process according to the main patent consisting no longer of interposing the shimming element between the contiguous faces of the stacked objects, in contact with them, but of bringing the contiguous edges of the superimposed objects into contact with the protruding part on the inner wall of the shimming element. The present invention therefore also relates to a variant of the method according to claim 4 of the main patent application, in the case where the shoring element has on its inner face at least one projecting part or a transverse partition, characterized in that the shoring element covers the contiguous ends of the superimposed objects, which come into contact with the projecting part or the transverse partition of this element. The features and advantages of the invention will be explained in more detail below, in the description of various embodiments of the invention shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of a shoring element according to the present invention Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the use of this shim. As can be seen in Figure 1, the cylindrical ring-shaped reinforcing element 1 described in the main patent is reinforced by an internal rib 2, here circular in shape, positioned approximately halfway up the element 1. This stiffens the element, which is particularly advantageous when it is made of a molded plastic material with low mechanical resistance. This element 1 can be used in the manner described in the main patent, i.e. by interposing it between the upper part of a cylindrical object and the bottom of an identical object stacked on top of the previous one, with the external surface of the sides of the shoring element in contact with the internal faces of the parts of the walls of the cylindrical objects which protrude from the bottom and the upper part of them. Alternatively, as shown in Figure 2, element 1 can be interposed between two superimposed cylindrical objects 3 and 4, respectively covering the upper part of object 3 and the lower part of object 4, with rib 2 bearing on object 3 and supporting object 4. It should be noted that, in this variant of the method of the main patent, it is no longer necessary for the lateral walls of the cylindrical objects to protrude from the bottom and the upper part of these objects, which are nevertheless held in position by element 1. To stiffen this shim, a transverse partition can also be provided on it, positioned perpendicular to the inner wall of the cylindrical ring. In the case of figure 3, the cylindrical ring-shaped shim element 5 thus has an internal partition 6, which is positioned halfway up the ring and is here perforated with openings 7. This element 5 is used in the same way as element 1 previously described to wedge superimposed cylindrical objects such as objects 1 and 2 in Figure 2. I1 also has the advantage, as shown in Figure 4, of allowing the buyer of these items, for example when it comes to cans of food, to use this element 5 as a sieve, to drain the liquid 8 contained in the can, after opening it, without having to use a colander or a similar utensil. In this case, a shim 5 will naturally be given to the buyer in association with each box and it can be made to be attached to it by any means known in the art, or simply by being pressed down onto the box and held elastically on it by elastic deformation of this element. Such an embodiment of the support element according to the invention will therefore contribute advantageously to the promotion of sales of the objects which it has previously supported in a vertical position.
