Fireplace log made of "salami" of gelled methanolates impregnated with sawdust, burning with colored flames. Formed ceramic cardboard backing. A wrapper of protective glazed paper used to light the log (1-fig.l)* envelops a log (fig.l as a whole) consisting of: - A "salami" made with a sausage-type charcuterie machine / push / sausage / salami (4-fig.l) sealed with a preferably cellulose casing (2-fig. I), the latter containing a methanolate of coloring salts or borons, gelled with, preferably, hydroxypropylated methylcellulose and compacted with sawdust, preferably anhydrous and hollow fiber. - A support (5-fig.l) preferably formed cardboard, ceramic, making "tray". - If necessary, an internal addition (8-fig.1), threaded through 7-fig.1 before sealing / closing with a clip (3-fig.l), made up of the same components to be burned, to which a chlorate or a perchlorate so that it burns at the end of the combustion of the log. This constitutes an addition to patent application 90-10573 of 08 / 21 / 90 by the same authors, due to 1-any of the claims of said application. An addition of 2-5% chromium chloride will make the fuel sparkle, as will other colors. The solution obtained, we gel with about 2 to 15% of hydroxypropylated methylcellulose (or any other gelling solvent). During the gelation process preferably, or before, or after, we introduce 10 to 30% and preferably 20% of sawdust (or another fiber of vegetable origin, new or recovered) preferably anhydrous and fiber hollow. other organic fibers that can replace sawdust. By the same process, we make two "salami slices1, of chosen size, to insert at the two ends of the central "salami". - If our methanolate composition contains 2 to 10% of antimony trichloride, the flame of which is made brighter by the addition of 2 to 5% of lead oxide 2-4 called minium, by weight or volume compared with pure methanolate (preferred), we will obtain a BOCHE burning red in the center and white at the ends. - If, on the other hand, we replace the antimony trichloride at the ends with an oxide, carbonate, chloride, hydroxide, in short a salt of copper (or boron), we will obtain a GREEN flame (and green 'almond', by adding chlorate of potassium at 10 / 30%).It will simply be necessary to increase the dose of salts compared to antimony, for example by double or even triple. - If we add to the solution of copper salts in equal proportions 5 to 10% (relative to the whole) of two halogenated hydrocarbons (one reinforcing the action of the other for a more intense blue), preferably dichloroethane and dichloromethane, in order to turn the green to intense blue, as long as said halogenated hydrocarbons are present in the composition, we will obtain red in the center of the log and blue at both ends (6-fig.2). - If, on the other hand, we want to obtain ROSE called "CANDY", we will replace the said salts with a lithium salt dissolved in pure methanol, preferably containing a semi-solution / suspension of potassium chlorate In a proportion of 2 to 102 of lithium and 20 to 30% of chlorate preferably: the longer the lithium and the chlorate are allowed to impregnate each other, the more the result will be spectacular (1 month being better than 24 hours ). - If you want to obtain colors that burn together, but without mixing, it will suffice to mix the methanolates, in the desired and chosen proportions. But in this case, never mix with sodium or antimony salt which denatures the other colors and never mix green and blue, since the blue halogens would turn the green into blue, spontaneously. Let us recall, for all of the above, that 10 to 35% of hexamethylene tetramine in suspension / solution in the gel (or metaldehyde or the two mixtures in preferably equal proportions), densifies the composition (with or without sawdust ). The wrapping paper (l-fig.l & 2) must imperatively protect the log (especially the "salami") against piercing or blows, which means that it can be replaced by any burning envelope with or to be removed at the time of lighting, when to light the log, a flame brought to the surface of the latter (l-fig.l & 2 or 2-fig.l & 2) easily ignites the fuel . The tray. of support + protection (5-fig.l & BR<2) preferably made of ceramic cardboard, will have sufficient rigidity to support transport, storage, and the log between the andirons of the fireplace, but will be sufficiently friable to break at the end of the log's combustion, crumbling to the bottom of the hearth. Claims

DEMANDS 1) Firewood log burning with colored flames, characterized in that it consists of one or more slices of sealed "salami", containing methoxides of metallic salts or borons, gelled and compacted with sawdust preferably anhydrous, all resting on a rigid base. 2j Firewood log or any other form to be burned, according to claim 1, characterized in that it is manufactured "like sausage, salami or blood sausage", that is to say in a way to push the semi-pasty fuel into a casing preferably made of airtight cellophane, which will be sealed to ensure airtightness. 3) Log according to claims 1 & 2 characterized in that said "salami" is embedded in a solid support serving as a "tray", preferably made of formed cardboard, of non-combustible ceramic, but brittle after combustion of the "salami". 4) Log according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the whole (salami, cardboard) will be wrapped in a flexible or rigid container, depending on whether it is to be used to light the log (flexible container preferably made of glossy paper) or to protect it (all possible protections): the closure will be made without a heat source that could light the alcoholate by piercing the cellophane. 5) Log according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, in the center preferably of the "salami", one can thread, or push or introduce a "sausage" of smaller format sealed by a cellulose envelope, containing either another color (of flame), or a colored composition based on chlorates or perchlorates or both combined. 6) Log according to claim 1, characterized in that the sawdust can be replaced by another fiber of vegetable origin, new or recovered 7) Log according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the colors of the flames can be multiplied by juxtaposition of several discs containing various coloring salts 8) Compositions according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that: - White will be obtained by adding to methanol preferably 2 to 10% of dlantimony trichloride, the flame of which is intensified with 2 to 5% of lead 2-4 oxide called minium. - The green will be obtained by replacing the antimony with a copper or boron salt (by adding 10 to 30% potassium chlorate, the green will be "almond"). - Light blue will be obtained by adding to "green" a halogenated hydrocarbon, preferably dichloroethane, and a dark, royal or deep blue will be obtained by adding in equal proportions preferably a second halogenated hydrocarbon, preferably dichloromethane, in a proportion of 5 to 10% (or two half times 5 to 10%). - Candy pink will be obtained with 2 to 10% lithium chloride, to which 20 to 30% by weight of potassium chlorate will be added in dilution / suspension at the time of gelation. If strontium chloride is added, depending on the proportion thereof, the candy pink will gradually turn to a pale salmon pink.
