Description
CUSTOMIZABLE SLEEPING DEVICE The present invention relates to a sleeping device that can be personalized by the user, depending in particular on his morphology. The modularity of the bedding is traditionally limited to the possibilities of variations in height and inclination, possibly part by part, of the sleeping surface, the latter consisting of a box spring and a mattress more or less complex. The box spring, even modular, and the mattress, even complex, both remain of invariant dimensions and structures. The assembly according to the invention consists of two parts, bed base and mattress, capable of being used independently of one another, and makes it possible to adapt the bedding to the morphology of the user, taking into account account in particular its size and the specific distribution of its body mass, while presenting characteristics of simplicity and lightness far superior to the existing one. The mattress consists of a variable number of foam elements of different densities; independent of each other and held together once assembled by a combination of means. Their shape is adapted to this installation and allows, among other things, the homogeneity of the whole. The modularity lies in the possibility of varying the number and order of these elements, allowing each time to create a set of different characteristics and dimensions. The bed base consists of a variable number of modules, each composed of a fixed number of slats, crossed by a rigid element making them integral. The modules can be added to each other to form a set adapted to the size of the user. Conversely, they can be detached at will for storage or to reduce the length of the assembly. a uniform bed base is thus obtained once the elements have been made integral by a suitable interlocking or attachment system. The bed base may comprise, on its two external modules, systems for holding the mattress, for example in the form of a lug or a bracket constituting an abutment for the mattress. The lightness of the bed base is obtained by a particular embodiment: the slats of the bed base, for example in plywood, comprise on either side of the securing bar which crosses them, a curved end allowing them to keep the slatted surface apart of the ground. They thus advantageously replace conventional elements such as the legs and frame of the bed base by resuming their structural roles as a whole. Other characteristics of the invention will appear with the description of certain embodiments, made with reference to the attached drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of the mattress / box spring assembly according to an advantageous mode of realization. Figure 2 is a perspective view of the bed base according to the same embodiment as shown in Figure 1. With reference to these drawings, the system consists of a mattress (1) and a box spring (2). The bed base (2) has abutments (3) on its external elements (4) and is interposed between a variable number of intermediate modules (5). The different modules consist of curved slats (6) joined together by a tube (7). This tube (7) also allows the joining of the various modules (4; 5) to each other, since it comprises at at least one of its ends an extension (8) of slightly smaller diameter, intended to fit into the tube (7) of the neighboring element. The various elements (4; 5) once assembled constitute the bed base, the homogeneity of which is obtained, according to this embodiment, by the force fitting of the extensions (8) in the tubes (7), and by a transverse bar (9) located at the terminal end of the external elements (4). The mattress (1) maintained during joint use of the bed base (2) by the abutments (3) of the latter, consists of complementary elements (10; 11). These elements may have different mechanical characteristics, in particular of density. The cohesion of the different elements (10; 11) is ensured by the complementarity of their shape, and in the case of this embodiment by scratch elements (12) corresponding on the front and rear faces of each element (10; 11 ). The combination of these means allows effective use of the mattress alone, independently of the bed base (2) described above. Figure 4 shows the mattress according to another embodiment, variant of that already described. The constituent elements (13) of the mattress are here secured by two cords (14; 15) on which they slide. They can be stabilized by means of blockers (16). The assembly thus described allows the application of the principle of specific distribution of the body mass, obtained previously by the mattress (1), to any sleeping surface. This system can for example take place in a conventional bed, a sleeping bag or on the floor.
Claims
CLAIMS 1) A user-customizable sleeping device, characterized in that it consists of a two-part assembly: a mattress (1), formed from a variable number of independent elements (10, 11), and a bed base (2), obtained by assembling a variable number of modules (4, 5), these two parts being usable separately. 2) A device according to claim 1, characterized in that the constituent elements (10, 11) of the mattress contain foams of different densities from one element to another. 3) A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each module (10, 11) constituting the mattress (1) is secured to the other modules by a combination of mechanical means (12, 14, 15, 16) and shape matching.4) A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the modules (4, 5) constituting the bed base (2) are composed of a fixed number of slats (6), each slatted by a rigid element (7) connecting them securely. 5) A device according to claim (4), characterized in that the slats (6) of the modules (4, 5) of the bed base (2), each slatted by a stiffening element (7), are curved at their ends so as to keep the flat surface of the bed base away from the ground. 6) A device according to any one of claims (4) and (5), characterized in that the slats (6) of the modules (4, 5) of the bed base are made securely connected to each other by a rigid element (7) passing through them.
