Abstract
The invention relates to a temporary retaining support for a free strand of a steering column of a motor vehicle, said support comprising means (51, 52, 54, 55) for fixing it to an element of a dashboard subassembly intended to be mounted inside a motor vehicle as well as a snap-in notch (43) making it possible to temporarily accommodate said free strand during the mounting of said dashboard subassembly; characterized in that said fixing means comprise at least one snap-in member (52) capable of cooperating with said element of the dashboard subassembly so as to allow manually removable mounting of said support.
