Abstract

Adaptive Substrate Biasing Using Margin Detectors The present disclosure relates to an adaptive substrate biasing circuit for a circuit region, comprising: a first delay module (602) having a plurality of delay circuits arranged to delay at least one edge of a local clock signal of the circuit region to generate first and second output signals; a multiplexer arranged to select one of the first and second output signals; a first margin monitoring circuit arranged to generate a first detection signal indicating when a margin time of the selected one of the first and second output signals is less than a first threshold; and a biasing circuit arranged to generate at least one bias voltage for biasing wells of transistors in the circuit region based on the first detection signal.
