Description

Title of the invention: Quilted cell Technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the technical field of padded cells, and more particularly to padded cells for use in the hospital field. State of the art

[0002] Padded cells, also known as calming rooms, hypostimulation rooms or padded rooms, can be used to isolate people suffering from disorders, particularly psychological ones.

[0003] Thus, the latter make it possible to create a secure and soothing environment to deal with problems of behavioral disorders, self-destructive or aggressive actions, but also sensory hyperstimulation which can affect people suffering from psychological disorders.

[0004] These cells therefore make it possible to create a secure space for both patients and nursing staff.

[0005] The padded cells comprise panels provided with padding on the walls of said cells to prevent people who have to stay or intervene inside the cells from injuring themselves, in particular in a situation in which a patient exhibits aggressive behavior towards the nursing staff or even himself.

[0006] The padded panels are generally glued to the surfaces that they are to cover in order to leave no areas that could present risks. However, the creation of the padding of a cell causes inconveniences, particularly in terms of smell, with the use of products that can give off strong odors, making the cells unusable immediately after their creation.

[0007] In addition, and this happens regularly, the padded panels are damaged by wear and must therefore be changed regularly in order to maintain the safety of patients and nursing staff in the cells. However, such regular changing of worn panels is time-consuming and causes additional inconvenience, in particular due to having to tear off the panels and clean the glue still present on the walls of the cell.

[0008] To address the problem of rapid changing of padded panels, it is known to fix to the walls of the cell a framework having fixing means intended to cooperate with complementary fixing means of the padded panels also having a framework on which the complementary fixing means of the padded panel are arranged.

[0009] Thus, the changing of the padded panels can be carried out easily, but the production of the padded cell requires the use of numerous parts and operations, increasing the manufacturing cost of such a cell.

[0010] Furthermore, the increase in the number of points of cooperation between the different parts results in an increase in the wear of these parts, consequently increasing the risk of a panel being torn off, which could then compromise the safety of the padded cell, making it ineffective.

[0011] Thus, there is a need for an inexpensive and easily produced padded cell, which can be used immediately, comprising reliable, effective and robust fixing means, while allowing easy maintenance of the latter.

[0012] The invention therefore falls within this context and seeks to resolve all of the aforementioned drawbacks.

[0013] Thus, the invention seeks to make the production of a padded cell quick and inexpensive while having increased wear resistance. Presentation of the invention

[0014] The invention relates to a padded cell which is easy to produce, reliable and simple to maintain, while reducing the number of parts in order to reduce wear and production costs.

[0015] For this purpose, a padded chamber has been developed comprising at least one wall comprising at least one first fixing element, at least one padded panel having padding on a first face and at least one second fixing element on a second face, at least one textile surface covering the padding at the level of the first face and enveloping the padding so that at least one distal portion of the textile surface is at the level of the second fixing element.

[0016] According to the invention, said distal portion of the textile surface is engaged in the second fixing element, the second fixing element cooperates with the first fixing element to mount the quilted panel on the wall and said distal portion of the textile surface is sandwiched between the first and second fixing elements.

[0017] It is thus understood that the production of the padded cell is easily achievable, while requiring fewer parts. Indeed, the fact that the distal portion of the textile surface enveloping the padded panel performs a fixing function between the first and second fixing elements makes it possible to reduce costs while limiting wear points.

[0018] Consequently, the padded cell according to the invention has a fixing of the panel against the wall which is more resistant to wear, in particular by the limitation wear points.

[0019] The textile surface has a distal portion, which forms a protrusion projecting from the second fixing elements so that the distal portions of the textile surface are engaged in the second fixing elements and sandwiched between the first and second fixing elements so as to achieve the fixing of the panel to the wall of the padded cell.

[0020] It is understood that by the expression "at least one wall", we mean to define the walls of a room, namely wall, ceiling or floor walls.

[0021] Thus, in a particular embodiment, the padded cell comprises at least one wall panel comprising at least one first fixing element, at least one padded panel having padding on a first face and at least one second fixing element on a second face, at least one textile surface covering the padding at the first face and enveloping the padding so that at least a distal portion of the textile surface is at the second fixing element. The distal portion of the textile surface is engaged in the second fixing element, the second fixing element cooperates with the first fixing element to mount the padded panel on the wall panel and said distal portion of the textile surface is sandwiched between the first and second fixing elements.

[0022] In a particular embodiment, the padded cell comprises at least one ceiling wall comprising at least one first fixing element, at least one padded panel having padding on a first face and at least one second fixing element on a second face, at least one textile surface covering the padding at the first face and enveloping the padding so that at least a distal portion of the textile surface is at the second fixing element. The distal portion of the textile surface is engaged in the second fixing element, the second fixing element cooperates with the first fixing element to mount the padded panel on the ceiling wall and said distal portion of the textile surface is sandwiched between the first and second fixing elements.

[0023] In a particular embodiment, the padded cell comprises at least one floor wall comprising at least one first fixing element, at least one padded panel having on a first face padding and on a second face at least one second fixing element, at least one textile surface covering the padding at the first face and enveloping the padding so that at least a distal portion of the textile surface is at the second fixing element. The distal portion of the textile surface is engaged in the second fixing element, the second fixing element cooperates with the first fixing element for mounting the quilted panel on the floor wall and said distal portion of the textile surface is sandwiched between the first and second fixing elements.

[0024] Thus, without departing from the scope of the invention, the padded cell may comprise padded panels on two different walls, and preferably on all the walls of said padded cell.

[0025] In a particular embodiment, the distal portion of the textile surface is formed by one side of the textile surface, and said side is sandwiched between the first and second fixing elements.

[0026] Preferably, the entire distal portion is sandwiched between the first and second fastening elements.

[0027] The fact that the entire distal portion is sandwiched between the first and second fixing elements makes it possible to obtain an improved, reliable fixing of the panel against the wall, with reduced wear.

[0028] In a particular embodiment, the first fixing element comprises at least one retention groove into which the distal portion of the textile surface is intended to be inserted.

[0029] Thus, the padded panel is easily fixed to the cell wall by simply sliding the distal part of the textile surface inside the retention groove of the first fixing element.

[0030] Preferably, the textile surface is a coated fabric capable of resisting values greater than or equal to 300 newtons.

[0031] It is understood that such resistance of the textile surface allows better resistance of the integrity of the quilted panel, by reducing the wear of the latter and by presenting a reduced risk of tearing.

[0032] In a particular embodiment, the quilted cell comprises several quilted panels arranged so as to be adjacent to each other, the junction points of said quilted panels are covered with a heat-sealed coated fabric.

[0033] By the expression "junction points of said panels", we mean to define the contact zones between different panels, consequently these junction points can be in the form of a straight line formed by the junction of two sides of different panels.

[0034] Thus, the fact that the junction points between the panels are covered allows for better resistance to tearing and improves the integrity of the padded cell.

[0035] It is understood that each wall of the padded cell may comprise several padded panels or comprise a single padded panel, the junction points being located between the different walls of the cell.

[0036] Preferably, the first fixing element extends along the entire length of one side of the wall and the second fixing element extends along the entire length of one side of the second face of the panel.

[0037] In a preferred embodiment, the distal portion is fully sandwiched between the first and second fastening elements.

[0038] In this way, the fixing of the padded panel against the wall is improved, the wear and the risk of tearing are reduced and also makes it possible not to allow part of the distal portion of the first and second fixing elements to protrude, which makes the fixing more ergonomic and more aesthetic.

[0039] In a particular embodiment, the wall comprises at least two first fixing elements arranged on at least two opposite sides of the wall.

[0040] In a particular embodiment, the panel comprises at least two second fixing elements arranged on at least two opposite sides of the second face.

[0041] In order to improve the retention of the padding of the panel, the second face of the quilted panel comprises means for retaining the padding.

[0042] Thus, the padding is retained not only by the textile surface but also by the retention means.

[0043] Preferably and in order to make the production of the padded cell easier, faster and less expensive, the padded cell comprises a single padded panel for each of its walls. Brief description of the figures

[0044] Other advantages and characteristics of the present invention are now described with the aid of examples which are purely illustrative and in no way limitative of the scope of the invention, and from the appended drawings, drawings in which the various figures represent:

[0045] [Fig-1] is a schematic representation of the padded cell, according to the invention.

[0046] [Fig.2] is a schematic cross-sectional representation of an isolated cell wall padded.

[0047] [Fig.3] is a schematic cross-sectional representation of a quilted panel insulated from the quilted cell.

[0048] [Fig.4] is a schematic representation of a section of a quilted panel cooperating with a wall of the quilted cell.

[0049] In the following description, elements that are identical, by structure or by function, appearing in different figures retain, unless otherwise specified, the same references. Description of the embodiments

[0050] With reference to [Fig.l] to [Fig.4], the present invention relates to a padded cell 1 comprising four wall walls 2, a ceiling wall 2 and a floor wall 2, in one wall wall 2 a door-type opening is provided.

[0051] As illustrated in [Fig.2], each of the walls 2 of the padded cell 1 comprises four first fixing elements 21 arranged on the sides of said walls 2, said first fixing elements 21 extend over the entire length of the sides of the walls 2.

[0052] Each wall 2 of the padded cell 1 cooperates, at the level of their first fixing element 21 with a single padded panel 3, represented in [Fig.3], having on a first face 31 a padding 4 and on a second face 32 four second fixing elements 321 cooperating with the first fixing elements 21 of the walls 2.

[0053] It is thus understood that to fix the padded panels 3 on the walls 2 of the padded cell 1, the first 21 and second fixing elements 321 are arranged opposite each other.

[0054] The first face 31 of the panel 3 also comprises means 7 for retaining the padding 4, for example a self-gripping strip.

[0055] The padding 4 of the panel 3 is covered and wrapped at the level of the first face 31 of the panel by a textile surface 5, which is in the form of a coated fabric.

[0056] The textile surface 5 has a distal portion 51 for each second fixing element 321, which forms a protrusion projecting from the second fixing elements 321 so that the distal portions 51 of the textile surface 5 are engaged in the second fixing elements 321 and sandwiched between the first 21 and second fixing elements 321 so as to achieve the fixing of the panel 3 on the wall 2 of the padded cell 1.

[0057] The first fixing elements 21 comprise a retention groove 211 in which each distal portion 51 is fully inserted.

[0058] Thus, the distal portions 51 are fully enclosed between the first 21 and second fixing elements 321.

[0059] The textile surface 5 is a coated fabric resistant to values of 450 newtons, which makes it possible to reduce the risks of tearing and therefore to improve the integrity of the quilted cell 1.

[0060] Thus, a padded cell 1 is obtained, illustrated in [Fig.l], having for each wall 2 a single padding panel 3 adjoining each other. In order to leave no area allowing the padded panels 3 to be torn off, these areas, called junction points between two walls 2, more particularly two panels 3 are covered with a coated fabric 6 which is heat-sealed with the coated fabric of the 3 quilted panels.

[0061] The preceding description clearly explains how the invention makes it possible to achieve the objectives it has set itself, namely to make a padded cell 1 inexpensive and easy to produce, usable immediately, comprising reliable, effective and robust fixing means, all while allowing easy maintenance of the latter.

[0062] In any event, the invention cannot be limited to the embodiments specifically described in this document, and extends in particular to all equivalent means and to any technically effective combination of these means.
