Abstract

Anchorage device (2) for complete or partial supra-implant prosthesis, comprising: - a cap (21), provided with a truncated conical cavity (23), suitable for integration into the prosthesis; - an abutment (22) provided with a threaded rod (24) suitable for screwing to a retention bar or directly to implants or any other implant fitting and a truncated conical head (25) configured to fit into the truncated conical cavity (23) of the cap (21). The device combines, in addition, on the one hand, an axial transfixation screw (4) configured to pass through the prosthesis and the crown (21) and screw into the abutment (22) to obtain a fixed prosthesis, and on the other hand, a flexible annular segment (3) capable of providing, in the absence of the screw (4), a removable connection, like a clip, between the crown (21) and the dedicated abutment (22) to obtain a clip-on removable prosthesis. Title of the invention: Anchoring device for complete or partial implant-supported prostheses technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of complete or partial supra-implant prostheses associated with retention bars or fixed directly onto implants by means of specific anchoring devices. Previous technique

[0002] The known techniques closest to the state of the art propose in particular a connection for complete removable supra-implant prosthesis which has the major disadvantage linked to the fact that the prosthesis cannot be made and put into operation immediately in the mouth and this throughout the entire period of osseointegration.

[0003] It also has the disadvantage of being only removable, whereas the current trend is moving more towards mixed solutions that are both fixed and removable (by clipping), which are called "removable-nonremovable" prostheses. Summary of the invention

[0004] The invention aims to provide an anchoring device that does not have the aforementioned disadvantages.

[0005] Machined or cast supra-implant retention bars represent a choice of quality prosthetic rehabilitation where hygiene and aesthetics are combined.

[0006] They are mainly indicated for mandibular restorations, when the diagnosis reveals insufficient vestibulo-lingual thickness of the bone walls, a low implantable height or a misalignment of the prognathic or re-trognathic arches.

[0007] However, the entire telescopic bar and superstructure assembly very often presents difficulties in insertion and disinsertion when clipping is carried out on cylindrical anchorages of the type known under the brand name "Locator".

[0008] Indeed, the reduced space between the walls of the telescopic frame and the restraint bar presents a triggering resistance because of the cylindrical anchors which force on the female plastic parts which eventually degrade, causing their frequent replacement.

[0009] According to the invention, the anchoring device for a complete implant-supported prosthesis comprises, as a basic component:

[0010] - a cap, provided with a truncated conical cavity, suitable for being integrated into the prosthesis;

[0011] - a pillar provided with a threaded rod suitable for being screwed to a restraint bar or di directly to implants and a truncated conical head configured to fit into the truncated conical cavity of said cap.

[0012] Said anchoring device is essentially characterized in that it combines, in addition, on the one hand an axial transfixation screw configured to pass through the prosthesis and the crown and screw into the top of the abutment so as to obtain a fixed prosthesis and on the other hand a flexible annular segment capable of ensuring, in the absence of the transfixation screw, the removable connection, in the manner of a clip, between the crown and the dedicated abutment so as to obtain a removable clipable prosthesis.

[0013] This design allows:

[0014] - the maintenance of the integrated and secured caps attached to the intra-screw prosthesis on the corresponding pillars during the osseointegration period, without the means of clipping, in order to allow it to be immediately loaded onto the implants;

[0015] - and obtaining, after the osseointegration period, a removable prosthesis by the removal of said screws and installation of the clip segments on the pillars.

[0016] The non-self-locking conical shape of this device, which is equipped with a flexible annular segment, facilitates the numerous manipulations of application and removal by the patient, while ensuring long-term anchoring, retention and stability. Brief description of the drawings

[0024] It includes and combines, in addition, on the one hand an axial transfixation screw (4) configured to pass through the prosthesis and the crown (22) and screw into the top of the pillar (22) so as to obtain a fixed prosthesis and on the other hand a flexible annular segment (3) able to ensure, in the absence of the screw (4), the removable connection, in the manner of a clip, between the crown (21) and the dedicated pillar (22) so as to obtain a clipable removable prosthesis.

[0025] The annular segment (3), which is provided with a slot (31) allowing its flexibility, is held by an annular groove (26) provided at the periphery of the truncated conical head (25) of the corresponding pillar, configured to receive the internal part of said annular segment (3) and by an annular groove (27), opposite the previous one, provided in the cavity (23) of the corresponding cap (21), configured to receive the external part of said annular segment (3).

[0026] The generators of the truncated conical head (25) of the pillar (22) and those of the truncated conical cavity (23) of the cap (21) form with their common axis, a well-defined angle chosen in the angular range 5-30 degrees, and more particularly 10-20°, so as to overcome the lack of parallelism which exists between the implants associated with the same prosthesis.

Claims

1. Anchoring device (2) for a complete or partial supra-implant prosthesis, comprising: - a cap (21), provided with a frustoconical cavity (23), capable of being integrated into the prosthesis; - a pillar (22) provided with a threaded rod (24) capable of being screwed to a retention bar (1) or directly to implants or any other implant fittings and a frustoconical head (25) configured to be housed in the frustoconical cavity (23) of the cap (21); characterized in that it combines, in addition, on the one hand an axial transfixation screw (4) configured to pass through the prosthesis and the cap (21) and screw into the top of the pillar (22) so as to obtain a fixed prosthesis and on the other hand a flexible annular segment (3) capable of ensuring, in the absence of the screw (4), the removable connection, in the manner of a clip, between the cap (21) and the dedicated pillar (22) so as to obtain a clip-on removable prosthesis.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the annular segment (3), which is provided with a slot (31) allowing its flexibility, is held by an annular groove (26) arranged at the periphery of the truncated head (25) of the corresponding pillar, configured to receive the internal part of said annular segment (3) and by an annular groove (27), opposite the previous one, arranged in the cavity (23) of the corresponding cap (21), configured to receive the external part of said annular segment (3).

Anchoring device, according to claim 1, characterized in that the generatrices of the truncated head (25) of the pillar (22) and those of the truncated cavity (23) of the cap (21) form with their common axis, a well-defined angle chosen in the angular range 5-30 degrees so as to overcome the lack of parallelism which exists between the implants associated with the same prosthesis.
