Abstract

An underground storage system (1) for the storage of fluids. It comprises a cavity (2) formed in ground (3), said cavity (2) having a bottom (6), a support element (4) comprising at least one opening, at least one tank (5), said tank (5) having a longitudinal axis, a lower end (13) closed by a first closing means (12), and an upper end (14) closed by a second closing means (15), and means of access from outside the cavity (2) comprising at least one of the following means of access to each tank (5), means of access to the interior of the tanks (5), and means of access to the contents of the cavity (2).
