Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle cover assembly, comprising: a cover structure and a drive mechanism (8) configured to move the cover structure from an unfolded configuration to a folded configuration and vice versa; a locking flap (6) hinged and configured to admit a folded position and a raised position; the drive mechanism (8) comprising a drive cable (9) and a drive device (10) provided with a clamping member (29) configured to admit a clamping position and a loosening position of the drive cable (9), as well as an actuating device (28) attached to the clamping member (29) and the locking flap (6), configured to press the clamping member (29) against the drive cable (9), or respectively move it away from the drive cable (9), when the locking flap (6) is hinged from, or respectively towards,its folded position towards, respectively from, its raised position.
