Removable leisure furniture kit, camper van style [Fig7 and Fig10], fully foldable into a wallet for vans and other similar volumes. Suitable for professional use.

Description

Title of the invention: Camper-type leisure furniture kit, removable and foldable into a portfolio, modular, for van utility vehicle. Installation without tools in a few minutes by a single person. Presentation#:

[0001] This furnishing kit allows a quick change of use from a utility van to a camper van use very easily.

[0002] Currently, the existing removable kits for vans are either furniture or modular boxes.

[0003] Disadvantage: The installation, removal and storage of these sets is similar to moving household furniture. In fact, these pieces of furniture or crates retain their bulky volumes during handling as well as during storage. Their manufacture also requires carpentry skills.

[0004] In order to reduce these drawbacks I propose the following new system: A simplified removable kit made of flat panels which fold in on themselves, very easy to manufacture, install or remove and with a very reduced storage volume.

[0005] This custom-cut leisure furniture kit will fit most utility van models as well as other similar volumes such as containers, closed trailers, garden sheds, etc.

[0006] This kit is characterized by: - By the fact that it is completely foldable into a wallet [Fig2 and Fig8] for a very reduced storage volume [Fig3 and Fig9] and by easy handling. Installation without tools by one person in a few minutes, - By its specific geometry and structure, both simplified to the extreme, made of crossed vertical planes articulated between them by vertical hinges [Figlet Fig6], forming foldable cells, - By a significant weight reduction thanks to its minimalist and rigid structure, - By easy and simplified manufacturing (assembly simply by screws), - By a reduced manufacturing price due to these characteristics.

[0007] Current kits, such as furniture or modular boxes, require real carpentry expertise for their manufacture. On the other hand, the proposed system is very simple to make; its structure consists of a simple assembly of rectangular flat panels using screwed hinges, a few screwed strips and a few quick-release trunk-type clasps, also screwed.

[0008] A prototype currently exists for a Renault traffic type van [Fig. 10].

[0009] Manufactured and tested in real usage conditions, in complete confidentiality for 2 years, it gives all satisfactions in terms of ease of use, speed of implementation, easy handling, minimal weight and resistance. [0022] For simplified manufacturing: The system is composed of rigid rectangular flat panels made of plywood or other material. Arranged vertically, assembled together by screwed vertical hinges, the assembly forms open cells with 3 faces [Figlet Fig6].

[0023] The floor and walls of the vehicle, previously fitted with standard wooden cladding, will form the missing faces.

[0024] A strip is screwed horizontally onto each face of the panels in the upper part.

[0025] Another rod will be screwed at the same height horizontally to the wooden walls of the vehicle.

[0026] A flat panel simply placed on these rods will serve as a slightly recessed cover.

[0027] The fixings of the vertical panels in contact with the vehicle walls are of the trunk clasp type allowing very rapid locking.

[0028] The whole thing, once assembled, therefore forms a set of closed chests [Fig.7].

[0029] In the proposed arrangement, this assembly is made up of 3 main modules of similar structure. - Module 1: located towards the front of the vehicle, it is composed of a large panel on which two other shorter panels are hinged vertically. With their lids, they form two high boxes that can accommodate a camping gas stove and a sink that can be folded into an accordion. - Module 2: located on the left side of the vehicle, composed of a large panel and two smaller ones, it includes two lower boxes that can support two cushions and form a bench seat. It is connected to the kitchen module 1 by trunk clasp type fasteners. - Module 3: located on the right side of the vehicle, composed of a large panel and 3 small ones, it includes two boxes of the same height as module 2 and also receives two cushions forming a second, shorter bench seat.

[0030] Its 3 installed modules therefore form 2 benches separated by an L-shaped corridor.

[0031] An additional trunk can be inserted in this corridor, either at the rear exit of the vehicle or at the side exit of the vehicle.

[0032] This chest consists of only 2 small panels the width of the corridor, sliding vertically in guides and a flat cover receiving a bench cushion. This chest inserted in the rear part of the corridor makes it possible to obtain a U-shaped bench [Fig.4].

[0033] In the central part of the corridor, you can install a classic folding camper van table. In the low position, its top will complement the bench seat to form a large bed thanks to an additional cushion.

[0034] If a single central right aisle and 2 separate benches are preferred, this trunk will be installed on the side exit on the right side of the vehicle [Figl 1, Fig5, Fig 12].

[0035] This layout plan is not exhaustive, for example: by reducing the height of module no. 1, it can become a bench. By raising module no. 3, it can become a kitchen. Other combinations are possible by simply playing on the height of the elements (to obtain a high cupboard for example.)

[0036] These 3 modules can also be installed alone or in pairs depending on requirements.

[0037] In each module, the number of cells can be increased by adding additional small identical panels.

Removable leisure furniture kit for a van or other similar volume characterized by the fact that it is entirely foldable into a small volume for less bulky storage and easier handling, thanks to the specific articulated structure of this kit, made of vertical flat panels articulated together by vertical hinges forming a set of foldable cells ([Figl, Fig6 and Fig7, Fig2, Fig8]).
