Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for inspecting a tube (1), in particular a catalytic tube used in a chemical reforming process, by means of a plurality of laser sensors (11.1-11.4) comprising: - a step of acquiring a circumferential profile (PC1-PC4) for each laser sensor (11.1-11.4), each circumferential profile (PC1-PC4) extending along an angular sector of the circumference of the tube (1), - a step of reconstructing an external circumferential face, called the outer skin (Pext) of the tube (1), from the circumferential profiles (PC1-PC4) generated by the laser sensors (11.1-11.4), - a step of determining an ovality parameter (Kov) of the tube (1), - a step of determining a local deformation parameter (Kdef) of the tube (1), and - a step of determining a level of damage (Nend) of tube (1) as a function of the ovalization parameter (Kov) of tube (1) and the local deformation parameter (Kdef) of tube (1).
