Hair treatment composition with cationic surfactant, fatty alcohols and weakly polar oil

Abstract

HAIR TREATMENT COMPOSITIONS WITH CATIONIC SURFACTANT, FATTY ALCOHOLS, AND LOW-POLAR OIL. Hair treatment compositions and hair treatment processes using these compositions are disclosed. The hair treatment compositions include: (a) one or more cationic surfactants; (b) one or more solid fatty alcohols; (c) one or more liquid fatty alcohols; (d) one or more low-polar oils having a polarity index of about 23 mN / m to about 40 mN / m; and (e) water; wherein a weight ratio of a combination of (c) and (d) to a combination of (a) and (b) is about 0.5:1 to about 3:1 (((c)+(d)):((a)+(b))). The hair treatment compositions are particularly useful in hair detangling, aligning, and smoothing processes. Figure for the abridged version: none
