Description

Title of the invention: Game accessory Technical field of the invention

[0001] The present invention relates to the general field of games and toys.

[0002] It relates more particularly to a game accessory intended for children. State of the art

[0003] A well-known way to entertain children, especially young children, is to have them jump on one knee or thigh to simulate sitting on an animal, especially a horse.

[0004] However, this type of activity generally lacks realism.

[0005] It also requires maintaining constant vigilance to avoid the child losing balance and falling.

[0006] The child may also feel a lack of security, even if he is held correctly. Presentation of the invention

[0007] The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a game accessory which reinforces the realism of this type of activity, and which also provides an additional notion of comfort and safety for the child.

[0008] In this context, the game accessory in question is characterized by the fact that it comprises:

[0009] - a support member designed to be positioned on a thigh of a first individual in a seated position, which support member comprises a bottom face, a top face, a front part intended to be positioned on the knee side of said first individual, a rear part opposite said front part, and two lateral parts,

[0010] which support member comprises fixing means for fixing it to the thigh of said first individual, and is designed to receive a second individual in a seated position on its upper face, and

[0011] - a projecting structure (for example an animal head and in particular a head of horse) which extends upwards from the front part of said support member.

[0012] The protruding structure creates the appearance that the child is riding an animal (e.g. a horse).

[0013] The object also provides an additional notion of comfort and security: the child does not have a “void” in front of him, but a structure, preferably flexible and comfortable, on which he can cling and hug.

[0014] Other non-limiting and advantageous characteristics of the gaming accessory according to the invention, taken individually or in all technically possible combinations, are as follows:

[0015] - the fixing means for fixing the support member on the thigh of the first individual comprise a strap arranged to encircle said thigh of said first individual, which strap comprises attachment means;

[0016] - said means for attaching the strap are of the self-adhesive strip section type gripping;

[0017] - said section of self-gripping strip comprises a first section part of self-gripping strip located at a free end of said strap, and a second part of the section of self-gripping strip, complementary to the first, located on the underside of said support member;

[0018] - said support member is in the form of a panel of flexible material;

[0019] - the top face of said support member comprises an extra-thickness element simulating a saddle-shaped seat;

[0020] - the two lateral parts of said support member comprise extensions simulating the legs of an animal;

[0021] - the projecting structure comprises a flange to which said second individual can to cling.

[0022] Of course, the various features, variants and embodiments of the invention may be combined with each other in various combinations to the extent that they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. Detailed description of the invention

[0023] Furthermore, various other characteristics of the invention emerge from the appended description given with reference to the drawings which illustrate non-limiting forms of embodiment of the invention and where:

[0024] [Fig-1] is a side view of a possible embodiment of a game accessory according to the invention;

[0025] [Fig.2] shows the play accessory of [Fig.l], seen from the other side;

[0026] [Fig.3] is a plan view from above of the play accessory of Figures 1 and 2;

[0027] [Fig.4] is a situational view of the game accessory of figures 1 to 3.

[0028] The game accessory 1 illustrated in the attached figures here simulates a horse.

[0029] It is capable of being positioned and fixed on the thigh C of a first individual A (preferably an adult individual); and it is intended to receive a second individual B (in particular a young child), in a seated position on the thigh C of the first individual A, with the aim of making him jump and simulating his sitting on the horse.

[0030] The game accessory 1 in question comprises - a support member 2 here simulating the body of the horse, designed to be positioned on the thigh C of the first individual A in a sitting position, and - a projecting structure 3, here simulating the horse's head.

[0031] The support member 2 is in the form of a panel of flexible material, for example made of any material that is flexible and pleasant to the touch and meets current safety standards. For example, a material chosen from cotton, fleece, soft denim, corduroy, cotton velvet, cotton jersey can be used.

[0032] This support member 2 comprises a bottom face 21, a top face 22, a front part 23 intended to be positioned on the knee side of the first individual A, a rear part 24 opposite said front part 23, and two lateral parts 25.

[0033] The top face 22 of the support member 2 comprises an extra-thick element 26 simulating a saddle-shaped seat, provided on the area where the second individual B must sit.

[0034] This extra-thick element 26 preferably consists of an added element which is secured to the support member 2 by any suitable means, for example by gluing or sewing.

[0035] For example, this extra-thick element 26 can be made of fabric, felt, flexible foam such as EVA, or even leather.

[0036] The two lateral parts 25 of the support member 2 comprise extensions 27 simulating the horse's legs.

[0037] These extensions 27 are preferably made in one piece with the support member 2. They are located at the two ends of the two lateral parts 25 of the support member 2.

[0038] Without taking into account the extensions 27 simulating the horse's legs, the support member 2 here has a generally rectangular general shape, the length of which is a little less than the length of an adult's thigh, and the width of which is of the order of the circumference of an adult's thigh.

[0039] The rear part 24 of the support member 2 comprises an attached structure 28 simulating the horse's tail.

[0040] The projecting structure 3 extends perpendicularly or substantially perpendicularly to the support member 2 when the latter is lying flat.

[0041] More precisely, this projecting structure 3 extends upwards, vertically or substantially vertically, from the front part 23 of the support member 2, when the latter is in the position of use, placed on the thigh C of the first individual A.

[0042] The base 31 of the projecting structure 3 is secured by any appropriate means to the support member 2, and more particularly to the front part 23 of the top face 22 of this support member 2.

[0043] The projecting structure 3 consists of a volume structure formed of an external envelope integrating internal padding.

[0044] The outer casing can be made of any material that is flexible and pleasant to the touch, meeting current safety standards and having suitable resistance characteristics.

[0045] For example, a material chosen from cotton, fleece, soft denim, corduroy, cotton velvet, cotton jersey can be used.

[0046] This envelope can be lined inside with another thickness of natural or synthetic fabric.

[0047] The internal padding is advantageously relatively rigid while being flexible to ensure comfort for the child; it can incorporate a frame to optimize support. This padding can be composed of a material such as a polyester fiber or an acrylic foam.

[0048] The base 31 of the projecting structure 3 may have a diameter of the order of the diameter of an adult's thigh. The dimensions of this base 31 must be sufficient to create a homogeneous force which opposes resistance exerted by a small child who would rest his body on this projecting structure 3.

[0049] The protruding structure 3 is designed to provide support for the child, as well as a sense of security and helps to enhance safer use.

[0050] Still with the aim of improving safety, as illustrated in [Fig.4], the projecting structure 3 preferably comprises a strap 32 (or harness), to which the second individual B can hang when seated on the support member 2 and the thigh of the first individual A.

[0051] As specified above, the support member 2 comprises means 4 for its attachment to the thigh C of the first individual A.

[0052] In the embodiment illustrated in the attached drawings, the fixing means 4 comprise a strap 41 arranged to encircle the thigh C of the first individual A, and which is associated with an attachment means, here of the self-gripping strip section type.

[0053] The strap 41 is integral with the support member 2; it can be made in one piece with the latter.

[0054] This strap 41 is arranged to pass under the thigh C of the first individual A and to be fixed in a removable manner on a suitable zone of the support member 2

[0055] More precisely, the strap 41 extends from the central zone of one of the lateral parts 25 of the support member 2, and its free end is equipped with a first part of self-gripping strip section 42; a second part of self-gripping strip section 43, complementary to the first 42, is fixed on a suitable zone of the underside 21 of the support member 2.

[0056] The installation of the game accessory 1 consists of placing the underside 21 of the support member 2 on the top of the thigh C of the first individual A.

[0057] The projecting structure 3 is arranged on the knee side of the first individual A and it extends upwards.

[0058] The strap 41 is passed under the thigh C of the first individual A, and its section of self-gripping strip 42 is assembled with the complementary section 43 of the underside 21 of the support member 2.

[0059] The length of the strap 41 and the positioning of the second part of the self-gripping strip section 43 are adapted to allow effective fixing of the game accessory 1 on any conventional thigh dimension C of an adult individual.

[0060] The leg-shaped extensions 27 hang on either side of the thigh C of the first individual A.

[0061] The second individual B can then be seated on the support member 2, oriented towards the projecting structure 3.

[0062] The adult (first individual A) can then gently make the child (second individual B) jump on his thigh in order to amuse him, and the latter can hang on or hold onto the projecting structure 3, directly and / or by the strap 32.

[0063] For safety reasons it is preferable that the second individual B remains held at all times by the hands of the first individual A.

[0064] It is understood that the projecting structure 3 fixed on the thigh C of the first individual A by the fixing means 4 of the support member 2, provides an additional support element and a feeling of comfort and security.

[0065] In addition, the play accessory 1 enhances the realism by creating the appearance that the child is riding a horse.

[0066] Of course, any animal other than a horse, or even anything other than an animal, can be simulated by the game accessory.
