EQUESTRIAN TRUNK.

Abstract

Transport trunk for equestrian equipment, easily towed and fixed at a height on the door of a van. The object of the present invention is a trunk specific to equestrian equipment, easily movable thanks to the position of its handles, its wheels and the inclined rear face. The rear face of the device provided with attachment points can be fixed on the front door of a van thanks to a support containing a locking bolt without relief. The device is also equipped with a rod or ring attachment point in order to lift the device suspended from a winch. Figure for the abstract: [Fig.1]

Description

Title of the invention: EQUESTRIAN TRUNK.

[0001] Equestrian competition requires transporting horses and all the equipment needed for preparation, care of the horses before and after the events as well as harnesses.

[0002] Horses often stay on site for several days and it is necessary to keep all accessories close to the boxes and secure them.

[0003] To fulfill this function, riders and grooms use rolling transport trunks. The difficulties encountered are linked to the often unstable and uneven terrain which makes the mobility of these trunks difficult.

[0004] The object of the present invention is to overcome these difficulties and facilitate the handling, use and storage of this trunk during transport.

[0011] [Fig.l] There are two handles (1) on the upper and rear part of the device. The handles (1) have the particularity of being positioned facing each other, forming an open angle towards the front and towards the bottom, facilitating the grip when pulling the trunk. There is a slight relief (6) on the trunk side below the hinges and a relief (7) on the door side which intersect, blocking the door in the open position. The door can thus be kept open to allow free access to the interior of the trunk.

[0012] [Fig.2] This side view shows that the rear face forms an angle (8) greater than 90° to the angle formed by the front face and the ground. This shape creates a transfer to the rear of the loads contained (mainly the saddles) when the trunk is towed and tipped onto the rear wheels (9). The weight of the whole is thus transferred to the wheels (9), the trunk is balanced and is easy to tow. Bolt-type attachment points (5) are fixed to the rear face of the trunk.

[0013] [Fig.3] On the upper face, we observe a groove (3) intended to allow water drainage so that any object placed on it (book, telephone, etc.) is not in the humidity. On the upper face, we also observe on the device a hanging point (4) rod or ring in order to lift the device suspended from a winch.

[0014] [Fig.4] Once lifted, the trunk is fixed to the front door of a van. The attachment points (5) fixed to the rear face of the device are threaded from below onto the support (10) linked to the door which contains a locking bolt (11).

[0015] [Fig.5] The locking bolt (11) does not create any relief and avoids the risk of injury to the horses.

[0016] [Fig.6] On the sides in the upper part of the device, we observe a metal plate (2) intended to receive a saddle holder (12). The latter can be positioned inside or outside on a support (2).

1. Transport device for equestrian equipment called a trunk comprising a chest connected to a door by hinges, two front wheels and two rear wheels fixed to the lower face, fixable at height on the door of a van, characterized in that two handles (1) positioned face to face and fixed at the top of the device form an open angle towards the front and towards the bottom, facilitating the grip for towing the device.

2. Transport device for equestrian equipment according to claim 1, characterized in that the rear face of the device forms an angle (7) causing a transfer of the loads below the rear wheels and facilitating movement when it is towed and rolls on the rear wheels.

3. Transport device for equestrian equipment according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper face of the device is provided with a hooking point (4) for lifting the device using a winch to fix it on the door of a van.

4. Transport device for equestrian equipment according to claim 1, characterized in that a metal plate (2) is intended to receive a saddle holder (12) which can be fixed inside or outside the device.

5. Transport device for equestrian equipment according to claim 3, characterized in that the upper face of the device contains a groove (3) allowing the evacuation of water in order to protect the objects placed thereon from humidity.

Transport device for equestrian equipment according to claim 2, characterized in that attachment points (5) of the trunk fixed on the rear face thereof are inserted from below into a support fixed (10) on the door of a van incorporating a locking bolt (11) without relief which makes it possible to avoid the risk of injury to the horses.
