Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the anaerobic digestion and nitrogen reduction of an effluent, said process comprising: - an anaerobic digestion step (102) of the effluent in a digester (4) producing digestate and ammoniacal nitrogen, - a degradation step of ammonium ions (106) from the digester in an ammonium ion degradation bioreactor (24), characterized in that it comprises a step for extracting the ammoniacal nitrogen (104) formed during the anaerobic digestion in which: - a first fraction of the contents of the digester (4) is taken, - the taken fraction is subjected to evaporation and condensation to produce an aqueous solution enriched in ammonium ions, and in that at least a portion of the aqueous solution enriched in ammonium ions is sent to the bioreactor (24) to supply at least a portion of the ammonium ions to be degraded.
