Title of the invention: Handle for windows or French doors

[0001] The present invention relates to a handle for window frames, and more particularly to a handle of the type provided, in particular, for use on windows and / or French doors.

[0002] The handles commonly known in the industry as "cremone" handles are used to control the opening mechanisms of windows and French doors and are characterized by a 90° notched positioning. A particularly popular type of this handle is the one that contains the anchoring and positioning system inside the handle body itself; in this way, the handle is devoid of the base anchoring it to the window, with a significantly less impact on the appearance, and this is therefore preferable since it can be adapted to several models and types of window frames.

[0003] Handles of this type are described for example in patent applications EP4030021, EP3392435.

[0004] These handles, however, present a number of operational problems, particularly due to the fact that the notched positioning system is arranged in a small space, such as that which may be available inside the handle body.

[0005] The object of the present invention is to propose a window handle for window frames which overcomes the problems of known handles, while retaining its advantageous characteristics and at the same time representing a preferable variant in terms of aesthetics and technical advantages.

[0006] Another object of the handle according to the invention lies in the fact that it is structurally simple and therefore less likely to break and with lower production and maintenance costs compared to known handles.

[0017] The group of elements for anchoring the handle 1 to the window frame includes an anchoring base 3, which has means for anchoring the handle to the window frame. These anchoring means include, for example, through holes 31 for the screws 32 to be fixed to the frame profile F.

Demands

1. Handle with notched positioning for window frames, such as in particular windows and French windows comprising a gripping part (10) and a main body (11) arranged in continuity with the gripping part (10) and along its own longitudinal axis (X'), said main body (11) defining a housing (2) for the following elements arranged in longitudinal sequence: a base (3) for anchoring the handle to the window frame, with at least one means for anchoring said handle to said window frame and a central longitudinal through hole (30); a socket (4) permanently connected to the base (3) and having a through hole (400) arranged longitudinally and in continuity with said hole (30) of said base (4);a washer (8) which is fixedly arranged inside said housing (2) and has a hole (80) which is coaxially arranged with said hole in said base and said hole in said socket to define a seat (5) for a sleeve (6); wherein said sleeve (6) penetrates said longitudinal seat (5) and provides means (63) for fixed engagement with said housing (20), said sleeve providing a longitudinal hole (64) adapted to house an operating pin (7) of an opening / closing mechanism of said window frame; wherein: said base (3) stably houses one or more notched engagement means (9) acting forcefully on said washer (8) along said longitudinal axis (X').

Handle according to claim 1, wherein each of said one or more notched positioning means comprises a spring (90) supporting, at its head, a ball (91), said spring being housed inside a suitable seat (33) of said base, arranged longitudinally, said ball (91) acting forcefully, by the action of said spring, on said washer.

3. Handle according to claim 2, in which said washer (8) has one or more housings (82), each for housing a ball (91), when said handle is not actuated.

4. Handle according to claim 2, wherein said housings (82) are equal in number with respect to said notched positioning means.

5. Handle according to claim 4, wherein said housings are of the number of 4 and are arranged at 90° to each other.

6. Handle according to any one of claims 2 to 5, wherein said base (3) and said socket (4) are assembled by means of a notched engagement of first notched engagement means (42) of the socket with second notched engagement means (34) of the base.

7. Handle according to claim 6, wherein said notched engagement between the base and the socket determines the preload of each spring (90).

8. Handle according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said washer (8) comprises appendages (81) which engage during assembly with suitable notches (200a) made on an internal wall (200) of said housing.

9. Handle according to claim 8, wherein said notches (200a) are arranged at 45° to each other.

10. Handle according to any one of claims 8 or 9, wherein said appendages (81) of said washer are in even number, arranged circumferentially at 90° to each other.

11. Handle according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said notched positioning means (9) are of 2 or 4 number, arranged circumferentially and spaced at equal distances.

12. Handle according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said sleeve (6) provides a hole (65) transverse to said longitudinal axis (X') for the insertion of an adjusting screw (66) in order to fix said sleeve and said operating pin inside said body (11) of said handle.
