Abstract
THIN MUDGUARD FOR MOTOR VEHICLES The present invention relates to a mudguard (4) for a motor vehicle (2), comprising a shell formed from a plastic material; notable in that said mudguard comprises, on at least a first portion (6.1) of the shell and opposite an outer face (8) intended to be in contact with the structure of the motor vehicle, at least one reinforcing element (5) having a thickness locally greater than the average total thickness of the shell, said at least one reinforcing element being configured to allow the flow of plastic material from said reinforcing element to a second portion (6.2) of the shell during molding of the mudguard, such that said flow of plastic material forms a portion (10) of the second portion of the shell.
