Abstract

The present invention relates to novel homopolymers or copolymers derived from muconic or sorbic acid, their preparation process, a non-cosmetic composition comprising at least one homopolymer or copolymer derived from muconic or sorbic acid, a process for treating a non-keratinized material with at least one homopolymer or copolymer derived from muconic or sorbic acid, or a composition comprising at least one such polymer. It further relates to a process for degrading such polymers, as well as diacid derivatives obtainable by such a process.
