Abstract

This optical system (1), designed to focus the image of a scene to be observed (S) onto a focal plane (P), comprises, aligned in this order on an optical axis (X), a first fixed optical group (G1) having a first focal length (f1) and positioned at a first distance (D) from the scene to be observed (S) greater than a minimum distance and less than a maximum distance, a second optical group (G2) having a second focal length (f2), a third optical group (G3) movable according to said first distance (D) and having a third focal length (f3), and a fourth fixed optical group (G4) having a fourth focal length (f4).
