Method for simulating remote software update rules for motor vehicles and update systems

Abstract

A method for simulating software update rules to be tested before being downloaded into target motor vehicles capable of communicating with a remote update server; said server hosting a platform capable of simulating, testing, and validating the update rules, using digital twins, AI, and machine learning; said method implemented by said platform, consisting of creating or modifying (100) rules, saving (200) said rules, submitting and then validating them (300), scheduling (400) the download of the updates, creating (500) update files associating the identity of the target vehicles with an estimate of their technical and commercial eligibility, and downloading (600) the update files into the target vehicles using an over-the-air update technique.
