AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing plant stem processing devices face issues with fiber entanglement, tearing, and blockages due to rotating rollers, leading to inefficiencies and potential fire hazards during the separation of seed capsules from plant stems.

Method used

A device with a fixed support opposite a mill, where the mill is mounted at its rear end and has a free front end, reducing fiber entanglement and accumulation, and a fixed support with a pivot joint for easy removal of accumulated stems, combined with removable scraping means to minimize wear and maintenance.

Benefits of technology

The device reduces fiber entanglement and blockages, enhances processing efficiency, and minimizes maintenance costs by limiting snagging and wear, while ensuring safe operation.

Abstract

Plant Stem Processing Device for Seed Capsules The invention relates to a plant stem processing device (2), comprising: - a frame (16), - a means for moving the stems in a continuous sheet, - a mill (1) extending along a longitudinal axis (A) between a front end and a rear end, and - a fixed support (100) positioned opposite the mill. The front end (4) of the mill is positioned upstream of the rear end in the direction of movement of the plant stems, and the front end of the mill is a free end. The fixed support comprises a first portion (102) opposite the front end of the mill and a second portion (104), which is a free end, opposite the rear end of the mill.
