Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and device for managing the maintenance of a rechargeable electric vehicle in a first operating mode. The rechargeable electric vehicle is capable of being in the first operating mode or in a second operating mode that consumes less electrical energy than the first operating mode. The management device: - detects (E300) a demand for charging the electric vehicle at a delayed time, - does not supply (E300, E303) electrical energy for charging the vehicle for a period equal to a first duration, - supplies (E304) electrical energy for charging the vehicle at the end of the first duration and for a second duration, - interrupts (E305) the supply of electrical energy for charging the electric vehicle at the end of the second duration.
