Abstract

The present invention provides a connector assembly configured to stably retain a subconnector. The connector assembly comprises: a frame 30 having a plurality of housing portions 31; and a subconnector having a locking projection. Each housing portion 31 has an elastic portion 33 and a locking claw 34. Due to the curvature of the elastic portion 33, the locking claw 34 moves to a curved position in which the locking claw 34 does not engage with the locking projection, and, because it is positioned in the normal position, the locking claw engages with the locking projection to prevent disengagement of the subconnector from the housing portion 31.The locking claw 34 comprises a first locking claw 34A and a second locking claw 34B, which are respectively arranged on adjacent portions of the housing portions 31 such that the first locking claw 34A and the second locking claw 34B are opposite each other between the adjacent housing portions 31. The first locking claw 34A is arranged such that it prevents the second locking claw 34B from moving to the curved position when the first locking claw 34A is in the curved position, and the first locking claw 34A prevents the second locking claw 34B from moving beyond the curved position when the first locking claw 34A is in the normal position. 5. in which the elastic portion (33) comprises a pair of lateral elastic walls (35) extending in directions opposite to each other from opposite sides of the locking claw (34) and connected to a pair of opposite surfaces (37) forming an inner surface of the housing portion (31). Connector assembly (10) according to claim 2, wherein the elastic portion (33) comprises a pair of insertion axis elastic walls (36) which extend along the insertion axis from the lateral elastic walls (35) and the opposite sides of the locking claw (34). Connector assembly (10) according to claim 1, in which the locking claw (34) is disposed at an end portion of the housing portion (31) from which the sub-connector (20) is inserted. Connector assembly (10) according to claim 1, wherein the sub-connector (20) has a stop portion (25) at the level of the central part thereof along the insertion axis, and the housing portion (31) has a receiving portion (32) against which the stop portion (25) butts in the fully inserted state, where the sub-connector (20) has been inserted into the housing portion (31).
