Assembly of a housing and lens of a lighting device. Lighting device (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a housing (2) having an opening, a light source positioned inside the housing, and a lens (4) for closing the opening of the housing, the lens comprising a central zone (5) intended to be traversed by light rays from the light source and a peripheral zone (6) extending all around the central zone, the peripheral zone (6) being in contact with a peripheral edge (11) of the housing along a closed contact line (LC), the peripheral zone (6) of the lens comprising a first rib (12), the first rib extending only along a first portion (14) of the contact line (LC), the first rib (12) being welded against a first receiving surface (13) formed on the peripheral edge (11) of the housing.
