Abstract
A method is used to estimate the corrected storage capacity of a rechargeable battery that is part of a system and has a measured voltage across its terminals, an estimated state of charge, and an estimated storage capacity. This method includes a step (10-120) in which, when at least one condition relating to the completion of charging of the rechargeable battery is satisfied, a first error in the estimation of the state of charge is determined based on the voltage measured at the end of charging. Then, this estimated storage capacity is corrected based on at least the first determined error to obtain a corrected storage capacity. Figure 3
