Abstract

The assembly (1) for a front end of a motor vehicle comprises: - a base (3) intended to be fixed to a motor vehicle support structure, the base comprising a frame (5) defining a through opening (6), - a motor vehicle hood (8) movably mounted on the base between a closed position in which the hood closes the through opening of the base and an open position. The assembly comprises means (11) for articulating the motor vehicle hood relative to the base which are configured to deform or break when an acceleration applied to these means (11) for articulating the motor vehicle hood relative to the base exceeds a predetermined threshold.
