Vehicle occupant monitoring device

Abstract

Occupant monitoring device (OCC) of a vehicle (VHL), including the driver of the vehicle; said device comprising an optical fiber (FIB) of determined length and flexibility, having a distal end (DST) and a proximal end (PRX); said distal end being intended to be arranged to be opposite the face (VIS) of the occupant to be monitored, and comprising optical means (OPT) arranged on the extreme part of the distal end, capable of capturing information representative of the face of the occupant;said device further comprising optical acquisition means (CPT) configured to be capable of acquiring images of the occupant's face from information carried along the entire length of the optical fiber, between the distal and proximal ends of the optical fiber coupled to said sensor, and means for processing the images acquired by the acquisition means capable of determining inappropriate behavior of the occupant.
