Abstract

The invention relates to a bumper skin for a motor vehicle comprising at least two recesses for bearing against a reinforcing beam. The bumper skin (2) comprises recesses (6) forming cavities (8) whose bottoms (10) are designed to bear against the lateral ends (14) of a reinforcing beam (12). Advantageously, these recesses (6) locally increase the mechanical rigidity of the bumper skin, thus preventing its deformation in the event of low-speed side impacts, while also protecting adjacent headlights.
