Method and device for controlling a child presence detection system in a vehicle

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and device for controlling a child presence detection system in a vehicle, comprising a touchscreen (11). For this purpose, data representing a set of display conditions for a control button of the child presence detection system are received. The control button is displayed on the touchscreen (11) according to a specific graphic representation (31) determined after the initial data is received, the size of the control button being greater than a predetermined threshold. A command from the child presence detection system is transmitted to the system controller following a touch press (32) on the control button. The control request is a function of the number of fingers simultaneously in contact with a touchscreen interface (11) during the touch press (32) and / or of location information for each touch contact on the touchscreen interface.
