Method for controlling the windshield wipers of a motor vehicle

Abstract

A method for controlling the windshield wipers of a motor vehicle is implemented by a processor and comprises the steps of: detecting (204) the interior temperature of the vehicle's passenger compartment; comparing (205) the value of a monotonic function of the interior passenger compartment temperature with a predetermined value, the predetermined value defining two open intervals, a so-called "sticking" interval indicating that the wipers are stuck when the function is within this interval, and a so-called "operating" interval indicating that the wipers are free to operate; and when the function is within the "blocking" interval, blocking (207) the automatic start of the wipers. A windshield wiper control device for a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle comprising the device are also described. Figure to be published with the abbreviation: Fig 2
