Abstract

A vehicle running gear (1) comprising an axle (5), a wheel (10, 10', 10'', 10''') having a rim (11, 11', 11'', 11''') extending coaxially around the axle to rotate about a longitudinal axis (X) of the axle, and a magnetic braking device (20) extending between the axle and the wheel, the braking device comprising a stator (21) fixed relative to the axle and a rotor (29) fixed relative to the wheel, and the stator comprising a tubular support (22, 22''') carrying electromagnets (25) capable of generating eddy currents in the rotor, characterized in that the wheel comprises a rim (11, 11', 11'', 11''') pivotally received on the support by means of at least one bearing (32).
